Thanks very much for the video. For anyone who cares, this works. No need to contort your body. Can feel the screws with fingers. For the ones on the corners, temporarily remove the foam padding and it is a straight shot to the screws no problem. Will need to push up on the metal tabs underneath in order to get the holder pushed back into place on the console rails. I held the squeeze lock pressed with a small cresent wrench. Looks good.

Excellent how-to ! Took 25 minutes of my lunch break. A mirror, light and a deep torx bit. I didn't even need a ratchet(not tight, just snug).

Great video. FYI, I figured out an easier (notice I didn’t say easy) way to get those front side screws in. Use a magnetic bit driver, the bit size is Torx T15. With the screw on the T15 bit push it into the front inside corner. It’s kind of a rounded corner. Move from the corner out toward the side of the vehicle slowly scratching the screw along the top as you go. Don’t worry if you don’t get it the first try, you will eventually hit the hole. The first one took less than a minute and the other one 2 or 3 minutes.

If you don't have a magnet, you can use a dab of grease on the screw head. You can also use the paste kids use (you know, the glue sticks) as it will do the same thing; hold the screw 'enough' that you can get it in position then tighten. Do't use a lot, just enough that it sticks to the torx head. Think 'sticky bombs' from Saving Private Ryan' - grease lubes, but clings too...

Years ago I removed the whole console to do this job. I need to do it again on my 06. I may give this way a try. Nice work and nice video!

Great video, I am eager to try this. For installing deep, hidden screws, it can help to poke the screw through a plastic shopping bag, then seat the bit and driver from within the bag. You can hold tension on the plastic bag, which then holds the screw tight against the bit (a magnetic bit works similarly, but they don't hold as well to sideways pressure when blindly fishing for a hidden screw hole). I suggest adding that technique to the many useful ones in this video. Thanks!

Excellent video. I just changed mine out and it looks great. Yes the screws are a challenge but not so bad once you get a method. I could lay a handheld bathroom mirror on the floorboard and shine a flashlight into the mirror which projected up to where the screw was. Push those foam pieces that are stuck inside out of the way. You can replace them when you finished. You get a clean view of the screws. Taking them out is a no-brainer but when you put them back take a large thin baggy and push the screw-head through the very bottom. Of course your screwdriver is in there with it haha. That will hold the screw tight while you fish up in there to put it back in. Tighten well and just pulled a baggie off.

Thanks for the video. Saved me a ton of time. Got it done in less than 10 minutes maybe less than 5 minutes.

Honda must've cheaped them out as the years went by. I bought a new 2012 Ridge and they were all broken within a year. That truck got totaled, so by then I loved them so much I bought another used one; a 2006 (first year of manufacture). Here it is 2022 and the originals are still fine and in good shape (no broken tabs).

Where can I buy this part or what’s the part number to search online.

I fee like it'd be easier just to super glue a couple decent sized chunks of foam into the inside of the cup holder and bypass the default foam holders lol.

Has anyone done the rear cup holder. Seems to replace the foam the joints as plastic welded.

I place a small hand mirror on the floor so I didn't have to lay on the floor

How do i turn on and off the dual zone climate control? Only one time only was I able to change both sides together as it it were only single zone. I havent figured out how to return to single zone

Thank you for the upload, but good freaking grief... What a pain in my ass! At 6', 200 lbs, there was NO way I was able to get under that thing to see where the 3 screws were. Ended up using a flashlight and my phone's selfie cam on the floorboard underneath it to get a view of where the bit was going. And even then, I could NOT get the cup holder to slide all the way forward without just strong-arming it. That was the best design they were able to come up with?
