    I really appreciate your video. I'm not going to replace the bulb, but I'm much happier just living with it now. I'll use my phone to tell time! :-)

    @Pete M, well, I guess it was helpful in that you found out you didn't want to fix it, lol.

    They have LED bulbs in that housing on Amazon, I’ll be doing this and dash lights later on today... done them before it sucks.

    Dharmen Samant, thanks for the reply. I'm glad it was helpful to you. Was there any differences from the video and your 2000? I only knew it would work for 1999-2004 models.

    @@DIYJeff The Stereo layout is completely different in 2000 but the setup for replacing the clock is exactly the same. The only thing I did different was not disconnecting the connections for the stereo and rear fans (I let it hang down enough to give me access to the screws for the long vent piece that holds the clock). I also used a plastic trim piece remover as I know my skill level will scratch the interior if I use a metal screwdriver. I particularly liked how you showed to remove and install the bulb in the housing.

    Thank you for sharing the differences. Hopefully it will help anyone else who has a newer Odyssey. I would have used plastic trim tools but I don't have any. I definitely need some.

    Thanks for this video! I need to replace several bulbs including rear and front defrost and the dial for the blower control Etc. Am I able to get to them while replacing the clock bulb? Seems they would be with the panel off. Please let me know as I'm giving the car to my sixteen year old twins and even after driving it for 10 years it's a bit disorienting to have half the dash dark. Thanks!

    Mistygalaxies, I don't own the van anymore, but yes, replacing those bulbs is actually much easier than replacing the clock light. The first panel I remove in the video gets you access to the bulbs for the dials. I'm not sure what the bulb # is but I would guess it's the exact same size bulb. I have a link in the video description where you can locate one.

  • @DIYJeff

    If the “D” light is flashing there is a problem with your transmission. The very first thing to check is your transmission fluid level and make sure it’s not low. There are many other reasons that could cause the blinking and it would be wise to take it to a mechanic who works on transmissions.

    Is there some reason you ca not just pull out the clock/hazard switch cluster?

  • @DIYJeff

    @DIYJeff

    3 жыл бұрын

    @peter hlinka, you can certainly try, but if I remember correctly (it's been about 3 years since I did this) it's just a fascia plastic piece that doesn't let you access the back of the clock. The way I show you how to do it in the video is the how the Honda Odyssey service manual describes how to do it.
