Holy crap what a rust bucket
“Watch for the body, it’s the only nice thing on this truck” Not the camera man showing the rust 😂
I can’t believe the amount of rust!
surprised it didnt fall apart more taking off those bolts and bushings
Swapping out the sway bar on my Suburban now and I'm having a hell of a time getting the mounts to go in place. Thanks for the illustration that I'm on the right track!
that truck been at Fertilizer Plant!!!
Gracias, thank you very much.
Man you make it look simple! Excellent information Sir.
I don't think the new parts will improve anything the crusty frame will flex itself around them & continue to disintegrate. I'm impressed with you getting those sway 10mil bolts off with the impact & extension.
in video you say put bushing slits facing rear, in haynes manual book says slits towards the front, when replaced mine the old ones faced front also
Well it definitely helps having air tools and being on a lift. You know I am disabled so I did one side first and let me tell you I think it would be easier just to drop both sides in the whole bar first like you did I still have to do the other side so I'm going to take the one side loose again and I have some welding to do on the frame on the driver side because the bolt had rotted through on the big bushing clamps so I will have to weld in some new metal with a nut on the back side. Nice job man

Made that look so easy. I think its the same set up as my 1993 K1500
Hello I am looking for the tightening torque of this bar
What can one do when the bar bolts wont tighten all the way down? (Internal press bolt spins in frame). Anyone have any ideas?
That swatbar Is going to put last that front end
Those bracket bushings are mf to get back in
Why would you need to replace the sway bar? bent or rusted? I asked this before watching the video, is that truck up for a whole front end replacement? soo much rust...
How did he get the bar below A arms?
That’s the one thing that’s nice about living in California.........everything else kinda sucks😂😂😂 jk!
Have 88 K 1500 and can't get the bar between top A ARM and steering linkage?
Did you really put new components on that rust bucket and let it back out on the road? That thing was so rusty it is a dangerous vehicle. And I'm someone who prefers old vehicles, but when you live in the rust belt, you can't have nice vehicles and they need to just be crushed and melted down, there are holes rusted through the frame and when you can see it in as many spots as you could see it in this video, you can be sure it has almost no structural integrity anywhere.

That's a new truck in New York haha
Why is he trying to save the sway bar links just replace them
Truck needs new upper and lower arms lol
That job was done on a 3/4 ton four wheel drive, not a 1500 1/2 ton.

Says GMC 1500 on the door at 6:45 of the video. Also this truck is a 6 lug and not 8 lugs.
