I usually use a microfiber towel when replacing bulbs, the old bulb I really don't care about but would installing a new bulb I don't want to get my oils from my fingers onto the new bulb as well as sweat and other things because it can cause electrical issues. Other than that the video was a great help because I'm going to be redoing all of my bulbs, the 168. Which means I'm going to be replacing the two side markers, the two interior bulbs on the roof in between the driver side and the passenger side and the two license plate bulbs in the rear of the vehicle.

You are correct that oil from the skin can potentially cause damage to the bulb. It is always a good practice to not touch the bulb glass surface with bare skin.

Thank you I really appreciate this video. I was looking to change the flasher bulb in my car and had mistaken it for the parking bulb. Until your video I wasn't sure why it was so difficult to replace such a simple bulb and then I found that I was looking at the wrong one. Your video helped you mentally though since I have to replace the parking bulb as well.

Is that the bulb for the yellow light in the headlight housing or the daytime running lights down below? I assume it is the yellow light.

It's the yellow light in the headlight housing.

Do you have any idea where is in the same elantra because i cant see my park lights on that side. I’m looking for the light that switches on first when you turn on the car lights

Yuri. I made this video on a North American version of the 2017-2018 Hyundai Elantra. Sometimes they slightly change the lights to meet local regulations. If you are not in North America it is possible that your lights may be slightly different.

Sorry, the DRL is a one piece unit and needs to be replaced from behind the bumper. I don't have this vehicle with me now to make the videos on it.

All I can think of is that may be a bad fuse. Before you check the fuse. It would worth switching the bulbs on the left and right side parking lights and see if that makes a difference.

Mine is the blinker light i don’t have the parking lights on the outer edge that’s why i thought the blinker & parking light were the same cause it’s yellow & in the same spot

Hmm. Well now you have videos for all the lights. Headlights, blinker and parking bulb. You have a 2017-2018 Hyundai Elantra and it has a different headlight ? Is it the Elantra sport ?

Not 2018 Hyundai Elantra SE when i turn my parking lights on they’re the same lights that come on for the blinker. Only the passenger side works.

But to better explain when i have my parking lights on i have “4 yellow” lights 2 where the ones are the same as the video the other 2 are the same as the turn signal lights but only the passenger yellow in the front turn on so say my “driver side front turn signal doesn’t work” but it does when i have to turn just not in parking mode

Aah Makes sense now. Okay, so that turn signal bulb has 2 filaments in it. So it can do 2 seperate jobs. One is to serve as a blinking yellow light, and the other is to be constantly as the parking light. it sounds like one of the filaments in that bulb is blown. The only way to fix it is to get a new bulb all together.
