Rainingmonkfish same lol I was about to throw a wrench through a. Wall I looked for diagrams and everything this helped tho
You should've put some anti seize on the slider pin and the plug threads. Also a bit of grease to the slider pins' smooth surfice. Also inspect the pin for a groove cut in by break pads. I've just about cut pins in half.

Funny you say that, I did loose a bolt later on.. Since Than I put some locktight on the main bolts that hold the caliper
Looks good was the rooter in good shape no problems.
Wow you just saved my front brake ass money 💰 & time old vid but good for me & 2009 Yz450f!

Awesome
I'd never use a screwdriver on new pads. I'd use a "C clamp" or channel locks on the old pads to push the caliper pistons back in all the way before inserting the new pads. Old brake lines might crack if you let the caliper hand by the line and is which case, the line should've been replace a long time ago lol. Good video thought!

exactly
perhaps you should not let the caliper hang by the brake hose. the hose is not meant for this. just a thought.
Love your videos, thanks for the tutorial. Just one thing: does the bottom clip get installed after you mount the caliper or just an oversight? Thanks

If anyone wants to learn about Jesus Christ reply
Thanks a million. I couldnt figure out how the clip went in. This showed it clearly.
Where did you get your new brake pads and what brand and style were they?
I cant even get the cover screw cap off...
It looks the same rotor with my yz250fx. Do you have a play with the brake rivets when you rock the bike back n fort?

@@vegasromaniac weird. The rotor looks ok because i can't even feel brake pad trace in my nails. When e slide the rotor disc bacn k fort there is a play..
what do u do if the Allen key bolt was stripped bad...can't get it out...previous owner absolutely mangled it

Brake needs new caliper
Ppl rly make the maintenance seem like its going to be harder than it is....this seems simple af...Why do ppl keep saying ditrbike are high maintenance? It just seems like regular maintenance to me...
do you need to take off the reservoir cap ?

Yes, it’s all pressurised so if you push too much you could pop a line
Love the level of sarcasm when you told us to check for rope. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of deal did you make for the new bike?

Was listed to 2800, but I paid 1900. Needed some work, and I'm still discovering problems

+Vegas RoManiac I figured that might be the case. I always feel like you take a gamble when buying a used machine that's meant to be abused. It's easy to be fooled by a quick power wash and new plastics.

+Vegas RoManiac I'm about to try to get a bike 10 years older than yours (98). Guy is asking $1700 obo, it's been sitting for like 2 years, so naturally it's not running and he's naturally not a mechanic and doesn't know why it's not running (yet the pictures of it are in a shop/garage with tools everywhere)... The usual bullshit story lol... He's been trying to sell it since March, so I figure he'll probably be happy to get something like $1000-1300 cash for it. It's a Husqvarna 610 TC with a TE 5 speed trans and lights. Says it's street legal, so I assume the title and everything have been changed over. If he's trying to bullshit me, I will know long before I pay him... I'll bring my tools so I can even check the cylinder pressure on the spot. Funny thing is, when he got a call with a Detroit area code, he's suddenly gotta go out of town for a week and that's also part of what makes me think he's full of shit lol. If it's just old gas, I'm going to be very happy, but I highly doubt that's all that's wrong since it has fork boots and these didn't come with fork boots... I'll have to do some research on the common issues they have...

+jylp4u sometimes you just need to take a leap of faith, u can't test compression on these bikes they have an auto decompression mechanism that will give you false readings. But that bike for the money I woukd take the risk, anything can be fixed and if you can't you sell the wheels on eBay for 400, forks for 200, and swing arm for 200 and you got your money back already. So go for it. Bikes under 1500 u can't loose on it if you know how to hold down to a screwdriver
Looking for brake pad clips and can’t find shit anyone know where I can get em??
