Good maintenance is key in extending the lifespan of anything. Now a days it’s so much easier because of KZread and people like yourself sharing your knowledge.

Thank you for making this video Sir. I have the original Dometic Penguin # 630515.321 on my 2002 Country Coach Magna. The evaporator fan blade broke off, so I bought a new squirrel cage. My unit does not have enough room to slide the cage out, so the way you showed how to move the condenser forward really helped me. Thank you again.

Thanks for your video! I'm in a 1999 39ft Forest River Toy Hauler. Now doing the entire roof coating, new lids and all...and had to remove my AC that also needed repairs. Plastic lid was so brittle, it had broke, and then broke the fan blade. You helped make it an easy repair! I'm curious if you ever added any foam, weather stripping, or insulation anywhere either to quiet things down or simply insulate. One particular piece I am concerned about is the thin fiberglass insulation in my overhead piece. It is super thin, stinks and likely the original at 25 years old. It sits in the track where air is dispersed at the front and back. Just thought I would ask for your thoughts. Also, I thought I would mention, is that I fit my 2-14 inch and 1-26 inch underside openings with 2inch pieces of the styrofoam purple board insulation...If cut just right, they make a perfect fit to wedge in and help hold back a little more cold or seal in even more precious cold air. Regards from Satans cauldron, otherwise known as the AZ valley!

Mine is so loud too. I should try! Thanks!
Do you have a link for the replacement parts for the 457915 model, I cannot find replacement parts for that model.
Great video and i will use it to trouble shoot my fan. Any tips for troubleshooting the fan not working?

Make sure it has power. If it’s humming, check capacitor if you can. Try spinning the fan and see if spins freely. If not, could be bearing.
I was amazed on how most of the fan blades were broken off. What causes that -- the stress of start up?

At first I thought imbalance from dirt wasp nest and was hitting shroud. Not sure though.
My new Coleman mach unit stopped working... never made any noises. Pulled the cover and saw the fan blades broken. Would that cause the ac to not work? I ordered a new fan blade. Hopefully that fixes it.

I have a Dometic semi truck cooler. I need a new condenser fan motor. Where do you recommend getting parts ? Ty

There should be a number on the motor. Cross reference that with Amazon or Google.
I have a question about the styrofoam that goes around the fan blade. Mine disintegrated. What can I do instead?

Ouch! You may get lucky and it’s still made. I’d contact Dometic or search the part number for a replacement.
Thank you for clearing something up . I use 3 oil radiating heaters in the winter time while on shore power. I had been turning on the blower only to help circulate. But now I realize it not worth the 400 w it takes to run the fan because it's also circulating the other fan too outside for the condenser. I located a standalone squirrel extra small fan it only draws 0.75 amps instead of 8. I looked into running my furnace blower but it doesn't seem practical because it's tied into the heat exchanger doesn't seem like there's an easy way to block off the external air intake and convert it to a high ceiling air intake. There was also concerned about residual heat loss with the ductwork below the floors. But it doesn't appear to be an important issue to circulate the air in some fashion with these radiators the ceiling fan was working nice but it takes a necessary power.

Very nice!
1:50 My fan is hopelessly stuck. It is either rusted on tight, or possibly melted on. Rust remover thus far has not worked (neither has WD40) Any recommendations? Should I need to just melt it off and replace the fan? And the blower (5:05) looks like it is going to be hopelessly stuck as well.

Spray lubricant and use angular motion.
Would you happen to know the model number for that unit? I have the same one and the model is not listed on the unit. The manufacturer can't find the shroud replacement with just the model name.
