Thanks alot for the detailed video. The e300 diesel is a very rare variant of the w124. To see if your car has a cabin filter look closely through the grille next to the wiper.

Maybe this is a useful FYI, the 1993 300d does not have a cabin filter there. I just learned the hard way! 😂

I watched this video and purchased the filters as described only to take apart my 300E 4matic and the money was wasted and the car does not have a cabin filter in the location described thanks a lot

I do not have any data showing this make, model or year came with the cabin air filter option.

Is there any way of modifying the area for the cabin intake on either my 1990 300SE or my 1988 300E so that I can install cabin air filters?Appreciate any information or help you can give thanks.

I do not know of any modifications that can be added but your dealer may be able to install something for you.

This does NOT apply to the 1990 300E. I just tried it, there isn't even a filter for that year!.. unless its in a different spot?

Filterheads: My E300 is a W210, but your install is of a W124. My filter is not shown, your title is for anyone that has a W124 or W210, and your video has been a huge waste of time.

So what it going on here, a lot of people are saying they don't have a filter on a pre 1994. You said you would update this but looks like you are still claiming that it's for 1990-1993. Are you wasting peoples time and money?

Some models did not come with the cabin air filter option so it is good to check your vehicle and see if it has a cabin air filter before purchasing one.

I have 1991 with AC en no filters version
