Great video! Just installed mine today, couldn’t do it with out this video. 2 Questions, why would passenger be amber and driver side be white on the switchbacks when unlocking the car? When I turn on the side maker only the passengers side is working? 🧐 Do I need an adapter?

Sounds like either the switchback is plugged in incorrectly or it’s faulty. Try unplugging it and turning it 180 and plugging it back in.

I replaced mine as well, the bulb actually melted through the housing.That front bolt gave me a hard time too.Now when I take the car out, the first thing I do is shut off the DRL's in the daytime.

The housings you can buy from multiple vendors. Probably the easiest and cheapest place is EBay. There are a variety of options. Just do a search for “C5 DRL”. You only need the hyperflash harness if you are swapping out the bulbs for LEDs.

Yes, When swapping from stock bulbs to LED's, you will need a Hyperflash harness(or an inline resistor at each bulb).

It only took me about an hour to do, but it is a bit of a pain. It would be easier I think to come in from the top but I didn't want to take the headlight assembly out.

The screw that is accessed through the brake duct is a huge pita. Done with the left one. Trying to get excited about doing the right one. It has been a few months. If the brake duct could get completely out of the way it would be great. But no.

You can pull the facia off in about 15 minutes. It's easier to reinstall with a buddy, but makes changing the housing a non issue.

That is exactly what I want for my c5 Chris. Where did you get them from? Did the leds come with the lenses?

And tail lights. If you replace any of the turn signals with LED, you need the hyperflash harness.

Would one be able to access and remove the fog light housing via the is method? It was a little difficult to see, but it doesn't look like it. I just wanted to confirm before I went about removing the front bumper entirely.

Possibly. You can definitely see it. I can’t speak to the difficulty reaching it with whatever tools are necessary.

I bought these in the smoked version. However the bulbs I used LED flash really fast. How do I fix that issue?

Did you need to install a different blinker for the Leds you put in your running lights or still running with stock blinker and how hot do led get compared to stock bulbs my c5 has a weird problem the bulbs sockets and bulb falls out due to the turn signal housing burning a hole from bulb and it lateral falls from it's place due to bulb running to hot think led will work need to know if I install led will I need a different blinker due to the led thx for your time and of coarse need to get new black out turn signal housing..due to big hole

The LED is the blinker. They do not get hot at all. You will need to install the hyperflash harness if you change the blinkers to LED. I have an install video on how to do that I posted last week.

So ok if I just change the front bulds to led and not the back lights do I still need to change wiring harness if I'm just replacing the front bulbs to led thx 4 your time

@Michael Mack Yes. Don't be afraid of the wiring harness. It takes 5 minutes to install. I have a how to video showing how to do it.

What about hyperflash with the new LEDs

Will try to do this in a few weeks to meet local requirements. Regarding DRLs, is there a way for me to disable DRL by cutting one of those 3 wires? I must pass local inspection and DRL must be disabled, but I still need turn signals. I've tried removing the fuses and those steps didn't work for my 2004 C5Z. If you could help or point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

I couldn’t for the life of me put back the blinker light bulb in the socket can anyone help with that I appreciate it.

No, LED switchbacks change from white to amber when you turn the blinker on. Hence the name “switchbacks”.

Lose the amber light, looks the same

I got unsubbed from the channel.... Weird, I almost bought the clear housing and then the smoked. I just could not make up my mind on what would look good on a black car. Ended up with the amber color side marker that was given by a sponsorship. Still thinking about the smoked version though. How come you didn't go with switchbacks?
