How to Replace and Install 2008-2013 Infiniti G37 Side View Mirror

This is our Infiniti G37 tutorial video on how to remove and install a side view mirror. The process has not changed in decades and is fairly easy. Don't be afraid of this DIY project, anyone with a screwdriver can tackle this job.

The tools you will need are a socket wrench, 10mm socket, socket extension, and a flat-head screwdriver. These are pretty common and affordable tools nothing too technical or difficult to use.

For this particular car, you do have to remove the door panel. It may seem like a difficult task but there are only 2 bolts that secure the panel to the door. The panel is self is clipped onto the door, just pop it off and up. You don't have to remove anything else from the door panel. You don't want to give yourself more work, just let it hang.
All mirrors are held on by the standard 3-4 nuts and the electrical connector. Simply remove these and the mirror should come off with ease. Be sure to apply the rubber base piece to your new mirror. The majority of our mirrors come with a rubber base or foam lining. The rubber bases are usually detachable from your OE (original equipment) mirror and can be reused. The rubber piece serves as a buffer between the door for damages and noise cancellation.
Simply insert the mirror into place and connect the electrical wire and screw on the bolts. Congratulations, your newly painted side view mirror is not mounted on your car. Before you place the door panel back on. Make sure that the mirror's electrical components are working fine. For this particular mirror, check the power adjustment. Once you satisfied, install the door panel, and you're done. We told you it was easy!

Just installed a new passenger mirror on my 2013 G37x sedan. The process is similar but instead of removing the silver panel on the angled door handle for the coupe, you have to pop off the panel on the arm rest that has the window switch. Then there are two 10 mm bolts that can be removed that are visible and easy to get to. There is also no bolt to remove under the small triangular speaker panel for the sedan. The biggest challenge is getting the door panel off and back on via the plastic snaps. It’s a little tricky getting everything aligned. This video was a huge help. Thank you for posting it!

I am not 100% sure but I can imagine it being much different. Normally the engine specs and some luxury interior items changed on the G37x but the mirror should be removed the same way. Please let us know if it's different.
Would the steps be the same for my 2010 G37x 4 door?

Yes it is the same. The model range is 2009-2013 for convertible, 2008-2014 for coupes and 2009-2013 for the sedans.

Yeah, if we can get an install for a sedan we'll definitely put it up. I believe these mirrors are the same for coup and sedan, so the install should be the same. I hope this helps!
