How To Replace an Exterior Door and Problem-Solve Some Issues.
I encountered a few problems as I replaced this prehung door on a garage. The door was working great until someone vandalized it and broke in the garage, resulting in a ruined door. The new door didn't go in as easy as it should of, so I show different ways that I fixed the problems.
I also brought along my favorite tools for doing home improvement projects.

Thanks! I wasn’t planning on having the extra problems, but it worked out okay for the video.
Mark Thomas, nice job, and good video. Looks like You had a few hiccups, but mostly went well. Made for good content that should be beneficial to some. Details of shimming and fastening the door in place were a bit sparse, juss sayin. It reminds me of helping a friend install a pre hung door, MINUS the frame, since the existing frame was in good shape and also had stucco finish on the exterior. I wasn’t about to mess with taking the old frame off, and risk cracking, etc. It was a huge challenge, and time consuming task. I managed to get a decent job and my friend was satisfied. Wow @ 13:14! Hard to believe that all those tools fit in that! And what a collection. I just looked at that little 12 oz Milwaukee hammer, what a sweet tool. I resisted getting it, and will have to justify having it along with my baby Estwing! That little curved claw hammer is great. Love seeing Leo. Handsome guy! 😊 Stay safe Mark. 👍

Hey George, good hearing from you! I've never had to mess with stucco much, other than trying to repair a woodpecker hole in EIFS, which didn't blend in as well as I hoped afterward. Sounds like a good idea using the existing frame. I just picked up the little Milwaukee hammer recently, just for that Packout tote. It comes in handy for small projects and using a chisel. Leo says hi! 🐕🦺 😅
Make a video on how to fix that vinyl siding to the right of the door near ground level.
