New Trick for Old Dogs: We put a thin rubber band of a suitable diameter around the new dogs on their holder. This held them in place well enough to turn the dog assembly upside down to place on the spindle and align it. Then we cut the elastic with a long thin Xacto knife and then you can remove the elastic with a hooked wire or longish tweezers. Worked like a charm. Thanks to Mr. Smith for the invaluable tip about pulling up to release the dog holder.

Just replaced mine. Most helpful part was showing how you pulled the Upper Agitator off. As far as putting the Agitator Dog assembly in place, all I had to do was push on it. No need to hammer. Thanks for the tips. And Amazon was next day delivery. Bought two sets.

No worries. I was at my local appliance store and saw a model very similar and it turns out our washer is 1.5 cubic feet.
