I just bought a Polaris 500 used and a couple of guys I work with where telling me how hard and horrible it was. Took 1 guy 5 hours. I expected it to be straight forward and easy. So I looked it up. Your video shows they didn't know what they where doing. Very straight forward

That's unfortunate that you had issues with someone working on it. But ya it's super easy to do. Sometimes the bolts that go through the foot well get packed full of dirt and makes it take longer but not that much longer

Why not spray out the grime before you put the belt on? Am I missing something?

You certainly can. The issue I have with using cleaners on this type of clutch with our removing it is you will also be cleaning out all the lube that allows the clutch to operate correctly.
