Luckily I kept watching after seeing this video. You seem like an experienced repairer but you made this way more complicated then it needs to be - unless I'm missing something. I watched other videos and they just put the machine on its side, took the cover off the bottom and had better access to the pump than going in from the front which requires much more effort and stuffing around.

I have over 38 years experience in domestic appliance repairs, lying the machine on it's side requires disconnecting all the plumbing which can sometimes be a headache, plus there is a risk of water that lies in the dispenser pipe getting to the electronic board which I have experienced in the past, all I did was tilt it back, plus you get much easier access to the wiring and pipes. As an engineer as with any GOOD engineer, it is how we do it.

@@tornadotez ok, interesting, I wondered what your reasons might be, hence why I said, “unless I”m missing something”. I’d have thought that electronics board was in the top of the machine so just keeping the top propped up slightly should prevent water from reaching it. I feel like taking the top, control panel and front of the machine off would increase my chances of breaking something. The other channel I watched seems to have a number of people working on it, some seem like they are quite experienced so I’m not going to assume they are bad engineers. They might have reasons for how they do it.
