I put it on 1.75 speed & paused at 2:00 mark after I saw that I needed to start by loosening these two screws on name plate over the blade. Didn’t even need to take them out; just loosen the bottom one to free up this pivot point and when you loosen up the top one the nut cover will swing down and out your way. There’s a sliding bolt on the opposite side to lock the blade in place so you can crank on the nut w/o spinning the blade.

Thanks, mate, I couldn't find the lock button on my c12rsh, it was tiny and thought it was a part of the construction, the manual picture and instructions were terrible in manual, I watch this and it solved my problem ,many thanks.

FYI my Hitachi actually has the wrench installed on the machine so there’s no looking for a socket. It’s in the back of the machine by the adjustment for compound angles. Very handy. Nice video though. Good job thanks.👍🏼

Thanks for the vid. Is that washer on both side of the blade removable? I bought the Metabo off the shelf and it didn't come with either washer. I think I need to order those.

You can use a 11/16" socket, a 17mm socket works better. Thanks for the question.
