    If you swapped the gears around, would it work, as it seems the plastic wear in opposite rotation?

    Hard to tell without actually seeing the behavior. Probably best to contact seller and/or manufacturer about the issue.

    The only thing that matters is if it has auto-overheating circuit then it stops automatically if the poor motor overworks and overheats. I hope it doesn't, because you can play with it for as long as you want. Just keep tracking its temperature every now and then.

    Is there a way to make it so the massage direction stops alternating?

    No simple technique that I’m aware of at this time other than either code change on the controller chip or adding some kind of rectifier circuit to the motor power output lines which could be tricky as the circuit must be capable of handling the level of power going into the motors.

    @@HennaKyu thanks for such a quick reply. I’d love to find a massager that rotates in one direction only or at least has the option of selecting between the 2. I find that just as it starts to find the sweet-spot, it changes direction and the magic is gone…

    Hello. When I turn on the airbag, it works for five minutes, then every second, two motors start to stop. The same goes for the other power supply. Does the current consumption need to be measured or is there something with the circuit in the pillow?

    Hi… if your massager is a similar type, I’m assuming you mean rotors because there is only one motor inside. When the rotors periodically stop, can you still hear motor inside running i.e. a humming sound?

  • @HennaKyu

    @HennaKyu

    @@anilkumars5071 Thanks! Humming sound might be due to the load and/or the wall voltage… the wall voltage might be outside of the adapter’s rated input range. E.g. adapter set to 120VAC and wall voltage is 230VAC Just guessing here :)

    Likely either of these two scenarios: Insufficient power going in… maybe user is in US and adapter is stuck in EU/Asia configuration for power input. Try a different adapter OR instead of plugging into the wall, try the car power adapter. OR A disconnect in the motor wire (inside)… which may involve accessing and opening of the control box inside the massager. Best of luck! :)

    I'm not getting power to the unit. i only used it 2 days. do you know what could be the problem? thanks

  • @HennaKyu

    @HennaKyu

    2 жыл бұрын

    If the outlet power is fine, could be the power adapter. If your unit is identical in model to the unit in the video, there might not be a fuse inside the unit's control-box... so yeah... if you're using the cigarette lighter adapter, there might be a fuse inside the cigarette lighter adapter that may have blown. Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with the massager's manufacturer, so I couldn't tell you for sure; if you bought it from a store, maybe the store might be able to better help you. Best of luck! :)

    Lol... I just realized I didn't answer your question... so sorry... been a long day... I can set them up and operate them, but as for repairs, if the repairs are minor (e.g., head tuning, belt replacement, broken wire) I might be able to repair them, but major stuff I might not be able to repair them especially without access to spares, proper equipment, and/or service documentation.

    A problem with metal gear in this configuration (mated with high friction gear / worm gear) is potential for metal shavings and/or metal dust. In this ‘open’ setup with electrics and mechanical parts sharing the same compartment without proper compartmental isolation from each other, this can interfere with the electrics in the box (e.g., dead short-circuiting(s); intermittent arcing(s)) either case could be hazardous (e.g., overheating; fire).

    @@issadon7990 Metal spur gears (e.g., in place of the plastic spur gears in this configuration with a metal worm gear) can cause metal dust/shavings. This can cause issues with electrics. The term ‘electrics’ can apply to DC circuitry as well as AC circuitry. A plastic worm gear instead of a metal worm gear may help reduce wear on the plastic spur gear. As for the type of plastic… you may want to ask a mechanical engineer; I’m an electronics engineer. Best of luck! ;)
