Well ... a year or more after doing this video, I found an extra latch that had come with my Pella! (Guess they knew it was going to bust at some point.) Now I know I have another spare made to Pella specs!

Thanks - embarrassing that Pella does not sell this part only.

It's about three-quarters of an inch long, about half an inch wide and about a quarter-inch deep. It jogs in the middle, so each end is offset.

Why wont my pella screen door latch to stay open anymore?

Not sure I understand the question. The latch holds the screen door shut. If the screen won't stay open, the spring mechanism needs to be tightened. A section of my video, "How to Install a Pella Sliding Patio Door Screen," explains how to do this. Or you can consult your Pella manual or Pella dealer.
