Well I'm 55 seconds into this and hooked for life. It's nice to listen to someone who obviously knows what he's talking about, He speaks with such assurance and confidence you know your time isn't going to be wasted listening. Four minutes seems too short so I'll move onto the 15 minute one next. So many many thanks dereton33. Mike. Well 3:18 in. So that's how you use Ptfe tape? I've been diligently keeping it 'flat' and wrapping it round for years. Never thought of rolling it up. Never too late to learn I guess. Thanks again. Incidentally 1023 videos. Seriously !! Life's too short to watch them all. Any with dancing dogs? You do seem to have a lot of trouble with your water works. He says with a smile. Mike 91 dislikes. No pleasing some people.

Just tried this now, 48p for the PTFE tape from B&Q and less than 5 minutes work. Heating's on now and doesn't seem to be leaking anymore, will keep an eye on it but looks alright so far, could have saved me a good few quid there!

Thanks for the video, had a leaky valve on the toilet towel heater. Opened it up and saw it was a different type of valve, so dried it and watched it leak from just above the thread for the nut. Put some PTFE tape around the tread and up over the leak, replaced the nut and now no leaks, thanks.

Thanks, I have just taken your advice. My cap had to be flipped off with a screwdriver from underneath but they are very sturdy and did not break or anything. I followed your instructions, I wondered why you don't thread the PTFE tape around the screw thread? Would this be better? I've wrapped some kitchen towel around it closely after drying to check for leaks. So hopefully, it has been fixed! Thanks for the video! I have to replace some underlay :-( what do you suggest for cleaning off the rust?
