Hey I was wondering can you go over in a video I was wondering when you blur out an object in vegas pro sometimes I see that it blurs the hole thing at must parts like it won't just blur out the image and that's it like the hole screen would become blurry. & I'm having a really hard time figuring out how to blur out more than one object in a video??

What if I want to render AVI Video file (720x480) from a mini dv camcorder to a blu-ray with menu on the DVD Architect. Can I customize the output format so it fit the size of 720x480 after render?? or I would have to change the original size to 1920X1080 so it could work on the blu-ray player? Thanks

Blu-Ray Authoring Hello Derek Hope you have an answer to my dilemma. Authoring using DVD Architect 5. I am able to make DVD of a concert I resentfully did with both 5.1 surround and 2 channel. It came out great. But I'm having trouble also making a Blu-ray version. My latest attempt was to render the video using Vegas 12 to AVCHD 1920X1080-60i surround preset. In DVDA5 I added rendered m2v file It had both video and (audio in track 1) and then added the 2 channel w64 in track 2. After burning disk track 1 came out as a compressed 2 channel mix No 5.1 surround, track 2 was an uncompressed two channel mix and much louder. I have also tried rendering the sound track to w64 surround but am not able to load that into DVDA5 timeline. Tried naming each file the same and in the same folder but no luck either. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Will Kruger

Thank you very much again for these tutorials. I see you rendered this to a Blu Ray format, but when I render to a Standard DVD, it gives the additional choice of writing a master. I am not clear on what the difference is. I am planning on sending my DVD for replication. Is the BURN option sufficient? Thanks again!!! I tried burning with both options. The Burn DVD works fine; the Master doesn't play at all. Is that because it is just burning files or something. I don't really understand what it is doing. Thank you so much

You cannot play a DVD structure from a USB drive - it will only work by using a disc with DVD player. The only optional way that works is to export your DVD Architect project as an .ISO file - this is the file that normally is turned into a disc. An .iso file can be player by some Media Players via computer connected to your TV via an HDMI cable or over a wi-fi home network. Cyberlink Power DVD can play .ISO files.

That is correct! Did you watch all of the video ? The video and audio are rendered separately. If you try to play the video "outside" of DVD Architect, you will not hear any sound. If you import "only" the video into DVD Architect and then press the PREVIEW button, then you will hear the audio as well.

  • @ElCapoNinja
    @ElCapoNinja8 жыл бұрын

You can render the video and audio at the same time, there's no need to do it separate, you just need to click on customize template and enable the audio section.

That is not the correct way to make a DVD - you don't understand what you are talking about. Yes you could do it your way, however that is not the superior recommended way, outlined by the official DVD Specification.

This problem sometimes happens _only_ when you are outputting to a DVD or Blu-ray format. It is normally fixed by temporarily turning off GPU acceleration. Go to Options/Preference/Video Set GPU Acceleration = OFF Re-boot Vegas and try another render. I also recommend re-booting your computer _before_ you render a big video. Re-booting makes sure your RAM is cleared. Make sure to *not* use other programs while rendering video, unless you have a 6x core or more CPU.

When rendering the video in Vegas Pro, is it safe to use the maximum bitrate, 9,800? When you do so and upload the MPEG file in DVD Architect, right before you try to prepare or burn the DVD, the warning message stating that the bitrate on the video track is too high to play properly on some DVD players, pops up. Despite this, I went ahead and did it. I tested the disc on two separate, older DVD players (manufactured in 2002 & 2006), and they played fine without any issues. Is this warning of a too high video bitrate an overblown concept? Or did I just luck out with my DVD players? Any input of yours would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Beware though, sometimes the camcorders, like mine I learned, might say they shoot in 60i but it's really progressive in an interlaced wrapper. What this means is that you set your project properties to interlaced, but if the video is really progressive, it will result in a terrible encode.

Hi there. First, thank you for your very informative and well-put-together videos! I have a few questions that I can't seem to get answered. In your video here, you show how to match the Vegas Pro render templates with those of the project media. Well, I have digitized some very old analog VHS tape footage into 720x480 29fps MP4 files (using Elgato video capture device). When I imported these files into Sony Vegas Pro 11, I made sure to match the media type (720x480x32 29.960p, to be exact). I have now edited most of the video, and am preparing to render it so that I can import to Sony Architect Pro 6, so that I can ultimately burn to Blu-ray with a menu system. My questions are: 1) Since I do not see a template for 720x480x32 29.960p in the Vegas Pro 11 render settings, which template would be best for me to use? 2) Would I use the same template in your answer from 1) when I import into Architect 6 (I assume so, but figured I'd ask, just in case)? 3) I have kept everything in 4:3 so far; would converting to 16:9 widescreen be a simply matter of rendering from Vegas Pro as such, or is the process considerably more difficult (in the end, I don't mind 4:3 too much, as it does add to the nostalgia of the footage, black bars and all)? 4) Other than making sure that I use a compatible burner, is burning to a single-layer Blu-ray disc the same as burning to a dual layer, when operating Architect 6? I am making a family video compilation for my parents for the holidays, and I would love to have the entire compilation on a single dual layer Blu-ray disc. Thank you so very, very much!

Turning off re-sampling may help you. This setting is turned on by default, but can be turned off and it will reduce the level of Motion Blur you are seeing. Right-click all your videos on the timeline and go to *Switches - Disable Re-sample*. Are you making DVDs or Blu-ray discs ? Did you Match your Media settings when you started the project ?

  • @MovieStudioZen

You need to Match the Media settings when you import your FIRST video. You only have to do it once. I showed this in the tutorial at the beginning (I thought I did). If you DON'T do this and start importing lots of different media, it can screw up your Frame Sizes. If you email me your .vf or .veg project file, I can check all your settings very quickly, instead of wasting time with messages backwards and forwards. The project file is very tiny and contains no video. Email to help @ moviestudiozen . com OR post on my forum.

There is nothing wrong with the program. You need to use a special technique if you have too much video to fit onto a single DVD. I have a detailed tutorial which will show you exactly what to do. It may seem a little overwhelming at first, but is actually quite easy after some practice. www.moviestudiozen.com/free-tutorials/dvd-architect-studio-50/493-how-to-compress-a-long-video-onto-a-dvd What is the total length in time of all the videos you want to add to DVD ?

The Bit Rates I would use for this amount of video are: Minimum = 4,056,000 Average = 6,768,000 Maximum = 8,456,000 If you get stuck with anything, I recommend you post a message on my forum. www.moviestudiozen.com/forum/index BIG TIP: If you use NTSC settings (29.97 fps), make sure to also use NTSC 720x480-60i settings in DVD Architect. If you use PAL settings (25 fps), make sure to also use NTSC 720x576-50i settings in DVD Architect.

Thanks to you I managed to solve my rendering problems so thank you but now I have another one and hope you can help me on it. Now my Sony Vegas keeps freezing on me and stops responding. When I open Sony Vegas up I can look at it like normal without a problem. However when I put in a video into it, it just tells me Sony Vegas is not responding in my task manager. The only way I can close it is through task manager. This shouldn't be a problem because a few people told me it might be the video file but I'm transferring it over from an elgato game capture card. I have my videos with an mp4.file so I don't know why this is happening. Well I honestly don't think that is the problem because my video file comes directly from an elgato and Sony Vegas supports the mp4.file I believe. I have found that there is a lot of people that have this problem from comments I read on other videos but I haven't found a video that fixes it. Some comments just say that there Sony Vegas stopped doing that after a while. But I know that it isn't a simple converting issue because I have transferred videos from my elgato to Sony Vegas before. Sorry I'm being really complicated about this but I know for a fact it isn't a simple conversion.

Only PCM Audio is available when making Blu-ray discs with DVD Architect Studio. PCM and AC-3 (Dolby Digital) are available when making Blu-ray discs with DVD Architect Pro. You can import your AAC into DVDA, but it will be converted to one of the formats I mentioned.

So I followed all these steps on what formats to render your videos and audio and everything looks and works just as it should in Architect but I burned a copy and the only videos that work are the menu videos I made. Clicked on the main feature and all the sound was there and all the chapters worked but no video :/ so lost

you probably changed the frame aspect ratio or frame rate, between the menu and the feature. Works fine on your PC? Your player will lock onto the first file parameter it receives off disc - you need to author using a multi VTS software so you could for instance mix 4:3 with 16:9 on the same disc. I think.

If you are rendering video DVD or Blu-ray, there are some restrictions. DVD only supports 24fps, 25fps or 29.97fps. Blu-ray supports the same as DVD and some extras. Blu-ray supports 1920x1080-24, 25, 29.97 OR 1280x720-24, 25, 29.97, 50 or 60 fps. I recommend you burn to Blu-ray disc and try 1280x720-60p. 1920x1080-60p is NOT supported by Blu-ray or DVD. If making DVD only, render to 29,97 fps.

Hi Derek. This may be an issue with my pc but here goes. I have already burned twice my project for testing as i was tweaking it with videos, photos, playlists and menus using DVD Architect on Blu-Ray-RE discs. When played on the tv it played good so i went to burn the project on Blu-Ray M-Disc's to keep but for some reason something has changed. The disc plays good apart from when i click the link to open the clip's folder. The six clip icons keep flickering between visible and not visible very fast from what i can see is one clip after the other continuously. one clips icon to another. I did 4 more burns on both types of disc's but always the same. The project plays good when i preview it through DVD Architect and i burned ok before so would appreciate any help you can give.

Just to be clear, are you saying that when you burnt the EXACT SAME PROJECT to a BR-RE disc, that it played perfectly with no problems ? And that it is only the M-Discs that have the problem ?Are you able to record a short video and upload it to KZread, that shows the problem actually happening ?

  • @markcarey4814

Hi Derek. At first for about 2 burns on Blu-ray discs the playback was good so I decided to burn a M-Disc because they are better but the flickering turned up so after wasting 4 of them I decided to go back to the Blu-Ray disc's again to see if it was the fault of the M-Disc's but it did the same fault on the Blu-Ray disc's and keeps doing it. Remember that before this problem turned up, the playback was good on the Blu-Ray disc's. That's why I'm wondering if my pc is playing up. I may need to reinstall my pc. I will see if I can send you a clip on KZread to you showing this. Thanks again for your time. Hope this makes more sense.

These types of problems are always frustrating. The first thing I would do is re-render the entire DVDA project - this is to make sure the original DVDA files for the Blu-ray disc are not corrupt in some way. I don't think there is anything wrong with your project, but it is difficult for me to comment without viewing your project myself. I know it may seem like a pain, but whenever something bizarre like this happens to me, I go back to the drawing board. Go right back to Vegas in fact and re-render everything from there first. Make sure to re-name and re-save all your project files into new folders, so nothing from the original versions contaminates the new versions.

    7 жыл бұрын

mxf.mpg.SFL is *not* an audio file for DVD Architect. These are video file extensions and there are *too many* in same file. Audio file for DVD should be .ac3 only. Delete ALL rendered files from your project folder and start again. Make sure to render/save Video and Audio to same folder with same file name. Obviously file extensions will be different for video and audio - program will set them.

ohh thanks very much for the quick reply.. also.. i want to convert multiple tv episodes or movies at ounce but i don't want to render 1 at a time so how can i rendor multiple tv shows or movies in one shot for dvds or blu ray ? i think its called a batch render ? and will i have the sound added to my batch renders? does it matter what type of mpeg 2 file i use if im burning a dvd or blu ray ? or will it just effect the quality of the video ? example can i select blu ray 1920x1080 when rendering video and use that render for making a dvd on dvd architect ? im trying to cram as many tv episodes or movies on standard dvd and 25gb blu ray-disk, do u have any suggestions on whats the higest quality renders i should use for each movie or tv episode on blu- ray and dvd without making a huge file sizes after rendering. as long as the picture is nice and clear and not crappy looking.

If you are trying to copy TV shows onto a DVD or Blu-ray, it would be better if you converted to something like DivX which uses much higher compression. Using DivX would have nothing to do with Vegas. If you use DivX, that is all you would use. If you actually have Blu-ray discs, you could render to DVD settings and burn to Blu-ray - then you could fit many episodes on to the one Blu-ray. But DON'T render to Blu-ray and burn to DVD - that will not work.

  • @MarcusJ973

dvd architect does not support divix files so ill have to stick with putting dvd files to blu ray disk to fit as much as possible.

I have Vegas 15. I wanted to render a sporting event I recorded off tv. I tried it before but the audio became out of sync towards the end. I don't remember what settings I had, but I think I rendered the video to 1080p 29.97 fps. I would like to just render the video as is to disc so I can play it on my blu ray player.

Audio going out of sync would not be caused by Vegas. "Out of Sync" audio is normally caused by the program/device you used to screen capture your video. The longer the recording, the worse it will get. You need to use a different program or settings to do your screen capture. In Vegas, you need to use the SAME Frame Rate in your Project Settings, the video was recorded with - if your Frame Rate does not match precisely, it may caused audio to go out of sync. You originally asked "How to render 720-60p" ? Was the original TV broadcast at 60 frames per second ? I would doubt that very, very much. Most TV anywhere in the world, is broadcast at a maximum Frame Rate of 29.97 fps. When screen capturing TV, you need to use the SAME Frame Rate it was broadcast in. This tutorial shows how to burn a Blu-ray disc directly from the Vegas timeline. www.moviestudiozen.com/free-tutorials/sony-vegas-pro/531-how-to-burn-dvd-bluray-sony-vegas-pro I recommend using Mainconcept MPEG-2 Blu-ray 1920x1080-60i 25Mbps Use Sony Wave 64 for maximum Audio Quality.

I'm in the U.S. I recorded an American Football game a few years ago. It was broadcast 1280x720 resolution at 59.94 frames per second with a Data rate of 38800kbps and the audio is 448kbps 6 channels. The MPG file itself doesn't go out of sync towards the end, it's only when I rendered it to blu ray disc.

What do you mean? Are you talking about the actual KZread video? Manually set the Playback quality to 1080p. If you have it set the Auto and your Internet connection speed suddenly drops down low, because of high network activity, the YT Player is going to drop the quality down to a very low setting. This has nothing to do with the video I uploaded.
