I agree. I bought a new computer after not owning one for like 13 years and I felt like I was being assaulted by mcafee adds. I went with a different virus protection just to spite them lol.

Thank you SO much for this! Your tutorial was very helpful, straightforward and easy to follow. Best of all, it got rid of all my annoying pop-up notifications from Mcfee nonstop begging me to renew my subscription to them. It was driving me nuts. I swore it began to feel worse than having an actual virus on my computer lol.

Superb!!...followed your easy to understand instructions and within minutes I'd got rid of the most annoying MacAfee pop-up ever...the constant noise every few seconds was driving me mad and no way could I get rid of it. The solution worked as soon as I clicked on restore settings....thank you so much!

Your solution concerning an infected browser was spot on. Resetting my Chrome Browser as you suggested took care of the problem immediately. They were so annoying and I thank you so much for your knowledge. You rock.

I spent almost an hour looking through various fixes. This was the first one that work using the reset method. It wasn't exact but it was close enough I could figure out it out. Good stuff. I really appreciate it.

A HUGE THANK YOU. The popups were so annoying. It was my browser, but my Chrome settings window is a little different than yours. Granted, I'm watching this video 3 years after it was published, so things could have changed. When I hit restore settings, the popups were gone instantly. A million blessings to you for helping out so many people with this simple task.

This video literally saved my sanity!! I was getting so frustrated! The pop-ups could easily be thwarted at first.... until my "free" subscription expired. The one that comes standard when you purchase a computer. Then the popups were absolutely unreal almost immediately! HUNDREDS at a time! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Bro, this is the best way to start 2021. after purchasing antivirus, stressing out for a day, and waking up to those damn popups in the bottom right, I am so glad to say step 2 of resetting browser worked for me!!! thanks so much from Vermont!

Thank you very much. I got an infected browser yesterday; this McAfee popup started coming directly after I downloaded an Emulator for Sega Genesis. I ignored the popup because it's clear they are wanting to sell me antivirus software. Glad I found your video. didn't expect such a simple solution as resetting the browser.

Thank you so much for your video on how to stop the McAfee pop-ups. I was being tortured by non-stop pop-ups (every two minutes, non stop). Based on your expanation it had infected my Google browser. You explained the fix very well and I had it fixed in less than two minutes.

Thanks your advice on removing Norton Antivirus popups on my browser was right on...so many others wanted me to download lots of other programs and seemed to me like that was walking into a worse situations...your solve was quick easy and did not require adding more programs to get rid of one program...thanks..I'm subscribed..

This worked! I am getting sick of McAfee pop-ups every day. This was NOT installed by me with my knowledge. It happened when I had to download a lease agreement when trying to get an apartment. Thank you for your help!

I want to profusely thank you for this tip. It got rid of the Norton popups that were driving me crazy plus restored something I'd lost a couple of years ago. I did have to reenter some stuff but I always keep a paper copy for passwords, so it only took about 10 minutes.

Yea the nortonlife lock pop up constantly was really bad my rtx 30 series laptop came installed with it and when the subcription ran up all hell broke loose, everyday it would remind like 3x a day.

THANK YOU! I fixed it and my blood pressure went down!

@@PC_Monkey Thank you very much. As it turns out I'm still having issues. My computer wanted an updated before turning off. When I turned it back on yahoo was my search browser. I changed it back to google chrome and went back to the control panel and there was another mcafee for web browsing. I uninstalled it. Reset the computer, erc, but I'm still not able to use google browser. Any suggestions?

So far, everything seems good the ads have stopped, i just did it a few minutes ago. If it works I will be super thankful, Ill update you if I get anything else! Im pretty sure it worked!
