It's arguably better than using paint thinner, that'll tear the plastic up a lot faster than this may but I'm not no scientist just based off my searching

Getting it off was easy, they still look fine. Depends on how your tail lights looked before they had been spray tinted.

I liked gas because the lacquer thinner is way too strong and you have to buff out the lens after it.
