Ôpa! Fala, Marcos! Belezinha?

Buy a set of screw/bolt extractors, always good to have that set in your tool box. 1- Put some oil/lube (like WD-40), and drill counter-clock-wise a hole in the damaged screw or bolt (using the reversed drill bits that come with that set, sometimes, just that alone is enough to unscrew the screw/bolt). If it didn't unscrew, proceed to step 2 2- Gently tap/screw-in the right size extractor into the hole you just drilled with a hammer, and then unscrew with a wrench. *PS: There are different kinds of extractors (step 2) with correspondent drill bits (step 1): -Stripped screw heads -Stripped bolt heads -Broken off heads Watch some tutorials first if you don't clearly know what to do with those left-handed drill bits and their correspondent extractors

I could see this working in simple screw in wood cases. But for me the screw is stripped and needs an insane amount of torque to spin it out. But I'll try this tip out next time for lighter cases.

Not amazed, if the screw needed so much torque that it stripped the head, odds are you wasted time trying this because the torque is great enough to break the solder joint apart too. Try welding it instead, or just grab the screw at the base in this case of it sticking up, hold the base still and put a 90 degree bend in the top to get leverage to turn it with pliers.

@brestore

Please, see this new update: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Zq5tpsWPdNPgYLQ.html
Not amazed, if the screw needed so much torque that it stripped the head, odds are you wasted time trying this because the torque is great enough to break the solder joint apart too. Try welding it instead, or just grab the screw at the base in this case of it sticking up, hold the base still and put a 90 degree bend in the top to get leverage to turn it with pliers.

Great. I can do that to one screw. Now I only have about 140 stripped screw left to go on my deck.
The clever way is to use channel lock pliers and back off screw.
Ain’t gonna work… but while you’re there with the soldering iron, just keep the tip on the screw… the heat will be conducted into thw wood and the screw will be burned out…as it is in this case, evidenced by the scorch mark around the screw

... respectfully. As long as that took, you'd be spending a mere fraction of the effort by yanking it out using a clawhammer....not as gentle, but takes only a couple seconds... And suppose the head isn't sticking out by a whole 3 inches...at that point you could grips the teeth of the screw with your hand and do it...

Hi Paul. Don't see the tip as the best solution to the problem. See the tip as a possibility for this or other problems where it is not possible to remove the screw (or whatever it is) in the traditional way. Tks for watching!
