The idea of opening the case with a guitar pick is genius! Thanks man, this was truly a very helpful video
Thank you for keeping things simple and visually helpful. I was losing my mind looking at picture by picture explanations online. Another youtube video was unhelpful and then I found you. Cheers.
Holy power hour. Thanks for this clear, verbal and visual walk-through. So much more clear than the 6 videos KZread presented to me first with blaring music and no actual instruction, precautions or anything else valuable. Definite thumbs up!
This helps alot-. I broke my computer and need to take out the battery. I broke my computer by making a over powered mob farm in Minecraft

This video helped so much. I was afraid to do this on my own, and you have given me the confidence to do it.
What a terrific video- well explained and visual aids - what 'not to do' was extremely helpful. Thanks
I think it as advisable to take a few photographs after every operation you make. Wire routes etc.
Great video, made changing the battery in my work Lenovo simple, instead of having to submit an IT ticket that can take a few days
A really informative and carefully constructed guide. Well paced and well spoken Great advice as to how not to cause damage when disassembling a complex item. Bravo

"The integrated batteries are not easily user-replaceable and to change this type of batteries the users have to send the product to the manufacturer or have to bring the laptop to a technical expert." The expert - takes out 4 screws and pulls some cables : *Alright that'll be $100+$70 new battery+$30 fees*

i tried to replace my battery and it would cost 170 for the battery including labor and I realized I can buy the battery for like 70 bucks and do it by myself. this is why you go with Asus or anything other than apple (or john deer for those C5 ghost enjoyers out there)
I'm looking up how to replace the battery on my Lenovo Laptop which is same as the one your working on. What are the odds!? This vid is perfect for me!! Anyone who owns this laptop knows how bad the battery is 😂

Do you need to first discharge the battery? Also when you get the new one hooked up do you need to immediately charge it and then discharge it or anything of that nature?
Thank you❤
Thanks Josh. I have a BROAGE Achelous with a dead battery, apparently a common problem. Can you advise how to identify and replace the battery?

Hi! I got a repacement battery for my lenovo, when I iinstall it it appears to work for a few minutes but will then crash and completey shut off. Is there any extra steps I should be taking with the replacement battery? (I put the old one back in and it works fine)
This is very helpful, thank you! Will save this for future reference.
HP laptop is giving me a battery replacement message through the HP Support Assistant program. Internal testing shows 21% of full charge capacity remaining. I'm only using the laptop always plugged into AC at home. Wondering if I ignore the replacement message will inhibit any functionality of the laptop. Did not see your link to the "no battery" option. Good video!
Good morning, the circuit that charge my laptop battery got damage with water but laptop still working as long as the battery last. Is there a way to charge externally the battery? Is a hp RR03XL. Best regards.
Im having a problem with one screw, is it possible to bypass one screw to get the cover enough out of the way?

My laptop just suddenly stopped charging, I went through all these steps, and it still won't charge. Is there any chance when reconnecting the battery into the motherboard that it didn't go all the way in or something? I'm pretty sure i got it in properly but idk what to do now. I have 0% charge so can't actually get on it to check drivers and stuff
My laptop turned off suddenly so I tried disconnecting the battery, holding the power button while it's plugged in then reconnecting and my laptop booted up fine after that but now my laptop won't charge no charging light, no power button light I have a Lenovo 130-15IKB any help?

If I remove the battery on Acer Nitro 5, will it stop the loud fan noise?
My battery has like a plastic and leather casing around it, it's weird, it's also the little paper things attached to the motherboard that I don't want to break. How do I remove something like that?
Hello josh, I want to know Can we use a laptop while it is charging? I have searched it but i dont feel much confident about other answers so would be great to know from you whether we can use laptop while charging or not. 😀
@AskaComputerGeek

Yes there is no issue with this - that is how they are designed! The only issue with using a laptop while charging is basically if you ALWAYS have it plugged in and just use it in the same place on your desk everyday then you will be degrading the battery without actually making use of the battery. The only way around this is to remove the laptop battery completely but this isn't usually a practical solution.
What laptop model are you using
Dose this affect the memory?
If i simply unplug it from the motherbord without physically taking out can i run the laptop without battery or does it have to be physically removed?
My DELL laptop( non- removable battery) does not turn on since it was struck by the sudden bursting of the transformer installed in our premises. However, when the charger is connected and removed instantly, the laptop blinks for a fraction of second(on the keyboard¬ on the screen)How to restore it?
Where do I find an internal battery for an HP?
can we get more battery life in old laptop by replacing battery
Hi I just recently last month suddenly got the dead battery - only works when plugged in to the charger. I did an internal diagnostic which said the battery should be replaced (have had my laptop for nearly 3 years now). My new laptop battery has arrived - are you able to provide guidance on caring for the new battery to make it last longer? Should it be fully charged first before use? and then fully drained of charge each time before plugging in the charger?

No keep it between 20-85 percent is best for Lithium ion batteries.
What if it doesn't recognize the battery? Faulty battery or software issue?
so i replaced the battery on my HP laptop but it still won't turn on. what other issues could i possible be having? the power cord works on my daughters laptop so i know the cord is good. could it be the power supply unit?
Is it possible to disconnect the battery but leave it in there, or are there any dangers like short-circuits, overheating....?

My Lenovo v i5 screen is just black yet the power lights are one
I have a worry. If you buy now a laptop (modern, with internal battery) - can you find replacement battery 100% compatible ? (These batteries most probably have different specs + dimensions + maybe attached circuit) Now + what about in 5 years? (I'm assuming battery will degrade quite a bit & you might want to replace it). How would you tackle this? Do Lenovo or X producer offer this service or can they sell just this component? Or solution is AliExpress or equivalent chinese site ?

I have that same worry. I've been using my laptop for 4.5 years and I don't think I'm gonna buy a new one soon, so I'm afraid I wouldn't find any parts for my laptop in the near future if i needed to replace them.
I need a new battery for my Lenovo laptop, but the Lenovo website seems to not have any for purchase. Where are you guys buying your new laptop batteries? (I don't want to get it from Amazon)

Well, let me take a guess on how that may happen... this might be the same thing as on a power bank I own... it's able to deliver about 2 amps as long as it's not being charged, but while it's being charged, it reduces the current going out. If the laptop does the same thing, this means it will try to use less power while plugged in in order to save some of the power to charge its battery, or in order not to produce too much heat... and if badly designed, it will even do this if the battery's already fully charged (like my power bank does it as well).
My Battery has inflated and I would want to know if its ok to take it off and would it still work without the battery?

I think mine is bloated too cuz there's a very slight bulge on my keyboard near my spacebar. It's also about 3 years old and been plugged in most of the time. A google search and this video said it should run without a battery so I will have to do that for now since it's not a good idea to continue using bloated batteries. You just need to often save stuff like documents you're working on in case of power surges or outages. I also read that some components can get damaged without a battery but I forget how.
I have the same laptop How can I use that without battery? Please guide me

Nothing will get the back cover off of my laptop - guitar pick, flat screwdriver, knife blade............nothing. It doesn't even budge.
I replaced the battery and my Microsoft programs and files are gone . Nothing showing on my ribbon at the bottom . I do have internet acess
Damn, mine is much complex i gave up when i tried to disconnect mother board there was a small spark that happened when i tried to remove that small metal in 5:58 so i got scared that i screwed something up. Hope i didn't, but i did do a cleanup that's something. The reason why i tried to remove battery is because my laptop won't charge, and work since battery is depleted.
Is it ok to use the laptop without the battery while the laptop is plugged in?
