i've spent more money on tools because of this a hole right here, than from anyone else on youtube. thanks again Ari. i've been wanting to do this for about a year now. and i ride at least five days a week. so it's about dam time you made this video.
Yes, I think it's time to invest in this tool after doing it "my way" a few times. Looks to be a time saver and potentially damaged part saver.
This video has been long overdued. This always works great for me. Yet, I am looking forward to a Motion Pro Puller for this task if there is!
Yes...thanks for your video. I thought I was doing it wrong. Love motion pro.

Yep. I was really impressed with their PBR tool for the chain
That's the one 👍😎✊
Can the small rod be used with the larger drivers? Specifically with the 20mm? I can imagine it being a nice tool to have while overlanding, though the larger rod seems a bit too large to carry.
Is this better than the blind puller set you sell for use on motorcycle and scooter/moped wheel bearings?
You might want to get Kevin Baxter to and his guys to put together your demo-videos for you. Joe is probably a great mechanic but maybe what he needs is to bring in a person that has limited experience with the tools to practice his demonstrations. and turn your volume up a little. Not everyone uses external speakers or headsets. Thanks for the video. I have removed and installed wheel bearings before with a different tool and I am still confused as to using this tool.
How do you get the driver out of the collet once the bearing is removed?

Good question. Lightly strike the collet with driver against the floor or a hard surface at an angle, this will help separate the two tool components.
How much is the motion pro wheel bearing remover
Ok, now I get it this tool is for removal only. I'm still a bit confused.

Removing the bearing is the hardest part. From the front side you could use a hook/slide hammer rig, from the backside one could use a long punch. Here a collet and punch are being used to drive the bearing out. Try putting the collet and punch in the freezer before using; this will cool the bearing and make removal easier. Freeze the new bearing before installation, and drive it in, first with a block of wood and mallet, then finish seating it with an appropriate-size socket and mallet.
I don't understand. How does this work? You are inserting a bearing remover head with a slit in it. Then using a chisel to bang it out from the other end. Does the chisel expand the remover head as it is being hammered, expanding the remover head to grab the bearing and "pull" it out?

Yes, correct. The driver expands the split collet remover to catch and drive out the bearing.
