Oh my goodness!!! I have gouged out the silicone sealant in my tub each time it gets lite this & re-sealed it to get it fresh & white again.. And, each time the mold seems to come back worse than before. I thought I was going to have to pay a professional to do it this time around & since my husband has passed away was not looking forward to the expense of it. After watching your demonstration I thought oh what the heck it's worth a try! I am so amazed & like the man said in another post I keep staring at the pure white silicone sealant! I'm shocked at how easy it was. Thank you, thank you!

The mold on my silicone sealant doesn't look very pleasant to look at, so I have been looking for a way on how to get rid of it somehow. I'll be trying this method out in hopes that it would work! I will let you all know the following day if this method is still effective to this day :) Edit: Update! It's been atleast 12 hours, I removed the tissues and it worked! I'm so surprised that this actually worked haha, it looks too good to be true but its true, works like magic, it definitely looks like a mold never even happened, thank you so much! You are a life saver!

This is a great tip - thank you! My mould was many times worse than you seemed to have had Malcolm and I was on the verge of once again replacing the sealant around my bath - then I stumbled across this video. I gave it a go as a last resort and the result was literally miraculous! If anyone is reading this, use a gel or thick type of bleach and remember to use rubber gloves whilst doing the procedure. I also used more toilet roll to dab away excess bleach after I'd finished, then left it to work overnight. The day previous to my trying this procedure I had scrubbed away at the mould with bleach on a toothbrush and got nowhere. Then I tried this way and et voila - clean sealant! Cracking tip this Malcolm, well done :)

I have been a plumber heating installer for 16 years... and WOW, I was trying to find time to redo the silicone sealant on my shower tray at home (I have been puttint this off 4 some time), but you have saved me so much of my hard sweat and graft, as I was going to strip back and re apply fresh silicone. Me and my wife tried this last night at 10pm and checked the results the following day 12pm... this does 99.9% work. Some of the really dark black patched turned light grey, so have reapplied again 2nite. Absolutely best video on KZread and best results within the Home. Superb and just Awesome. Hughe Thank You

This worked great!! I have been spraying and scrubbing this for months and could not get it clean. per this video I used toilet paper and toilet bowl cleaner with clorox bleach, it's thick instead of just thin like bleach would be. The next day the black mold was all gone.... finally!! I am so pleased thanks!

Great tip! Here's another... In a vented area. Mix 2 Tbs Comet/ Bleach powder and 1 Tbs of liquid bleach in a plastic cup. "Softly stir with a Straw or Popsicle stick" mix into a paste. Apply paste to the area. Let sit until it dries. Use a water sprayer to Mist and soften the dried paste. Remove with a paper towel. I use this method to remove hair dye from the bathroom walls and floor etc. You can buy sticks and a small water sprayer bottle from a dollar store. Use gloves if necessary. Hopefully, you have some of these items at home. ☺️

Thank you so much! 👍 This method totally eliminated the unsightly black mould around the base of our shower cubicle. It took a couple of days using your process, after the first application I gently rubbed the silicone with bleach and repeated the process again. Removed the toilet tissue and couldn't believe the mould had completely disappeared. No trace whatsoever, can't even see where it was. Thank you so much, such a great video find 👍

THIS IS GENIUS. I tried it and it worked! But I used just straight bleach instead of the product he used and it worked too. I didn't believe you at first because I tried scrubbing with all these other bathroom cleaning products, but this method actually worked. I love low-cost, low-tech solutions!
