Just came here to say this was super helpful. Had dead instrument cluster, I removed it from car, left it for 48 hours, refitted and it came back to life. Also, less music please! For anyone following this, to remove the black plastic push button on the left hand side, it just pulls off at the dash end and there is a small plastic barb on the shaft that holds it to the dash wood effect panel that you might need to pinch in to get it removed.

Super helpful tips on removing thanks dude. The illumination light behind my digital temperature guage is not lighting up, the digital guage itself still reads but the light that illuminates it is not on at all any clues?

Can you just replace the old clusters with another cluster or does it require programing

Yes u can and not 100% sure that it will need reprogramming. Maybe not but I could be wrong

Good Job, How can you check if the cluster lights not coming on ( switch or ????) . with out removing the the whole instrument cluster

Thank you! The way to see if the cluster lights not coming on is in a parking lot where is dark. Or check them at night time. U can use the nob to your left to brighten more or less. If it doesn't then that means it's burn already. The connection to the light. I had to get mine rebuilt. Now they work great! If your here in California I can recommend you to the guy who rebuild mine..

Is there a way to only take off the ac control module??

PRECISELY when he said something CRITICAL about disengaging & removing the push button shaft (left side of cluster) the MUSIC IS BLASTING/SCREAMING and I could not hear ANY THING HE SAID! BUMMER :-( I am STUCK.
