Anyone know how the hell to remove the same plastic part on a MK6 gtd gearknob. Theres know indentation where you can prize it off like in a normal mk6 gearknob!? 🤨
Mine doesn't wanna pull off???? I've loosened the clip! But still seems stuck on properly. Any suggestions please

I can’t for life of me get my shift boot off. I tried pulling exactly where you did yet it’s not popping out. I don’t know if it’s just because it’s a mk6 rather than a mk5 but it’s not popping out

Hi! Maybe on Golf MK6 is different than Golf Mk5.
Can you keep the old boot and change the knob only

you can remove it but why didnt you replace yours? :P
why in the hell wouldnt they just thread the damn thing? its like VW takes things that have been figured out and are made easy, and then intentionally find the most annoying pisspoor waste of time workaround just for fucks. or maybe for dealer service repair costs.
