When watching this I thought of frequency separation. This technique is in a sense creating the frequency separation layers manually. Thinking about it that way also makes it a bit clearer to me why the final image in this example looks the way it does, it has almost none of the medium frequencies that makes up large parts of the facial structure. A bit of dodge and burn should solve most of that. The texture of course also needs a lot of work but it is a good demonstration of the concepts.

They tried that with Superman too. It didn't work well than either. its a nice start, but it needs a lot more tweaking and work before it is believable.

My question is can we remove head hairs from face ?

Who on here could help me figure out why my photos are not the same color when I export or save as jpeg from photoshop then upload to Google photos to have the photos on my phone to use on social media. They look the same color on my laptop but on my phone the colors are not the same. I usually edit starting in lightroom then take my photos to photoshop to continue touch-ups and such. I can't figure out why it does this..someone help!

Sorry Aaron, to me that doesn't look very realistic at all... It's not just about replacing texture, it's trying to "repaint the anatomy" as you said, and adding in shadows, like the stubble shadow- which isn't even included in your process...
