when you point out the block drain valve in the vid, i noticed the area around it looks darker then the rest of the block... is that from a leak or is that nothing?

I used pb blaster on the manifold nuts so it could be from that or possibly a leak yes. After driving the car hard for a year now. It has start to leak a good bit so the full reseal manitnace is coming up in the future. Upper oil pan and front seals are just flowing these days.

Hey bro, need your advice! I have LS600hl v8 and one of the cats honey comb is broken and throwing a code(engine check light). If i delete both the cats will the sensors wont create a issue for engine or throw more codes? Appreciate your reply mate

You'll have to replace yours. You'll get alot of codes. The new cars computers would need it tuned all the way out for it to work at all

Do you have a popcorn tune or is did you get the pops after gutting the cats?

No this is a launch control/ 2step. It's stock in these with no cats

If you dont use o2 sensor spacer it will through a cat code p0430 or p0420 if you arent tuned. It's a stock manifold and stock exhaust

I'd recommend the car have some more stuff done to it but the beeR does its thing. A stock NA GS just doesn't hit as hard as a turbo car or anything like that.

I'm having clogging issues rn with my GS300, since i lost my job i'm wondering if i should do this until i can get new cats. My question is that is the engine light on for you after you done this?

The o2 spacers trick the ecu into not throwing the light. Sometimes take weeks before light comes back sometimes the spacers trick it forever. I've had 2 different types.

Hey does your car move at all ? Supposedly mine are clogged but the check engine light reads missdires Mechanic says the converters are clogged It doesn’t rev over 3rpm

@@JZGarage I took the new cats yesterday I’ll see if it’s that It read misfire on most cylinders when the check engine light came on so that’s why I was iffy about them saying it’s my catylictic converters But I guess we’ll see tommorow

@@tonyalejandro6309 these cars don't misfire that offten and a misfire is a cat damaging code not the fix for a damaged cat its what caused it normally. So that being said yes you have a damaged cat because of a misfire. So you'd need to fix the cat that's now damaged and track down the misfiring issue its self. Normally on these cars is coil, plug wire, or spark plug. All can be done under $200. If that's not it then more diagnostic is needed.

Not sure if you're still on here... I had a question my secondary cat is plugged, I took it to "at the time didn't know" shady muffler shop & all they did was put a hole in it! Would the delete still work even with the hole? I'm trying to get a better job but w.o a car only ones available pay dirt so I'm in a pickle... Please get back at me thank you!

Just take the manifold off and hit it with a hammer. Try not to poke holes it in.

Its actually very much factory with a added bee R launch control from Japan. I have another video explaining it a little bit but I'll be making a new video explaining it with the 2jz Vvti motor and how its very different the non vvti motors.

@@daviddeng1546 all the bee R does it control the limit of rpm by cutting ignition. That's why it shoots flames. You may have a exhaust leak or the o2 sensors are going out. They make a little extender to trick the sensor.

It's all stock, 2.5inch pipe replaced the mufflers and those are stock pipes at a angle. The cats are just removed. Thats all

I was wondering if I’ll get the same sound with a catless header from eBay, and then I’ll do what you did for the 3rd cat and break it up

It will be close for sure. The cats being holo do give it those weird holo Can sound sometimes. I've removed the 3rd one totally now and just run 2.5in pipe to the stock res to my 3im tips.

The diwn stream is recommended. But you'll probably still get a code ever now and then if you have a exhaust leak.

It's a 2002 so that makes it a jzs161. I think thats right I'm not 100%

@@JZGarage all gs300 mk2's are jzs160. Aristo V300 (2jzGTE turbo) are the JZS161. Jzs160 vs jzs161 is 161 has a turbo, 160 doesn't. Awesome video though man 😁

Yeah man I'm not really sure. I just knew the changed the transmission in 2002-05 so It made scene those would be the higher number. 98-01 jzs160 then 02-05 jzs161..but idk

@@JZGarage did you have any problems with the exhaust valve and exhaust valve seats popping out or getting burned? I've read that somewhere, the pops and bangs can cause bended, burned or broken exhaust valves.

If you do it forever yeah thats just part of normal wear. Stock 2jz valves can handle it. Stock valves handle 800hp in these things so my 170hp 2 step is fine

The o2 sensor spacer or tunable ECU. With a tune you can turn the DTC off.

The gs300 doesn't Hbe the same tone as the gs430 but they are very close so if you do the exact setup the result should be the same.

I say just make sure the common issues are fixed and manitnace. Timing belt, plugs, coils, etc. Sure hiccups happen along the way also but the basics still apply to every car

You dont have to cut them open if you dont want to or cant weld. My welder is around $1200 with the bottle and attachments so I know a lot of folks dont have that but time and practice you can weld with a 200$ welder.
