Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This video shows on how I remove bonded / glued body panels and how to clean-up the boding area's with for me the most easy tools. This is the way I do it, but would love to hear your way of doing it and or recommendations .

A previous owner of mine Elise put those sound isolator paper behind the seats. They call it Dynamat and are very hard to remove. Generally they use dry ice, but I couldn’t use it on vertical surface… To cut a long story short, the easiest way to do it was to spray it with propane. I took some small bottles to recharge the lighters and I sprayed on it. It got frozen and it broke away in peaces in no time. It may not work on those materials but it may do. It’s cheap and fast. Of course don’t light up a cigar wile you try it!

Propane , Really ... scary... I can see why it worked , the evaporation of the liquid propaan caused it to col down and freeze.. I would go for liquid nitrogen less risky. But thanks for this special tip... I might try that out ( nitrogen)

@@D3Sshooter I use nitrogen, for work. It’s expensive and you need a special container to keep it, so it doesn’t evaporate and create a small amount of pressure for the use. Of course it reach very low temperatures and faster. With proper equipment you could actually cut all those materials in no time. Keep up the good work !

Would do it the same way as you are doing , trying several different ways to see which one worked the best, be interesting to see if any experienced body shop workers who do this type of work leave comments as it's something I have never got involved with . My first job was in a high class body repair shop ,steel panels ,panel beating .body soldering , paint spraying.Being young and getting bored I left after a few years to do more interesting things, long time before glued together motors became the in thing .

Very good video, how about when I need to remove a panel intact from one car to use on another, in this case thin steel panel. Removing the damaged one first helps to understand just where the critical glue points are, then it appears lots of patience with a tool such as yours and other sharp tools very carefully?

Yes, exactly , in that case use a piano string that works very well or an electrocal gitaar string

Back in the mid 90's I was working for a Renault dealer a Renault Espace mk2 came in that had been hit in drivers door , handed a glassfibre door skin and told put that on , asked how the hell I'm supposed to do that I was given a technical manual and told read that , quite surprised they recommended useing 6 self tapping screws to hold door skin in place while glue set and fill holes with glue after glue cured . A couple of years later I was working at another garage when a Renault Espace 2 came in for a door skin the job was given to a apprentice , had a chat with him told him I had worked at a Renault dealers and explained how to to do the job , he told he was not going to drill holes in a new doorskin and clamped it on , when he took clamps off skin was in wrong place , walked away laughing at him stupid little prick .

thanks for putting this up ! .... what would you use to remove panel bonding adhesive that remains on the surface of a painted part? I was thinking to apply a lot of soap and water m and carefully use a razor blade (to not damage the painted surface / minimize damage underneath) Acetone would probably remove all the paint.... i think ultimately the whole surface would have to be resprayed... but i am just trying to minimize damage.

well I used acetone, but you need to be carefull and all depends on the paint type you have .
