Excellent video, I have a standard bmw business NBT system, which I believe maybe Alpine, I am getting a new NBT evo id6 retrofit, and will add HK door speakers and tweeters, you have also answered how easy it is to get to the wing mirror bolts, I have purchased M4 folding mirrors, that should be a 10 min swap out, without requirement to remove door cards. 👍

Nice video. I will be do this to reduce the rattles from the door card. Also it would be worth fitting some Silent Coat or dynamat behind the door cards at the same time. This makes a huge difference to making the door more solid and not rattle with heavy bass.

Tackled my speaker conversion a day after watching the video . I have a 2020 F36 Grand Coup 420i M Sport and only took me around 40 mins to do both doors . A bit fiddly but worth the effort .

do you know if the 2021 2 series comes off the same way? i thought i saw that it has a access door by the open handle. but i have not taken it apart yet. coming in to my shop in a few days.

Yes..all the same. Maybe slightly different placement for the screws. One maybe behind the handle

Off topic question: Would it be easy to replace the window rubber seal after you remove the door card? Does it just slide out once you take those retaining clips off?
