How To Remove Bitterness From Cucumbers

If you ever purchased cucumbers in the market or the grocery and got a bitter batch and didn't know what to do with them, this kitchen hack will demonstrate how to easily remove that bitter taste.
The bitter taste in cucumbers is caused by a chemical called cucurbitacin which it produces as a defense against pests and fungi.

I'm clicking on the notification and saying "Mmhmm" before the video page even loads up lol. You got a stone cold brand Dawi! Plus I'm learning stuff I've NEVER heard before in this video. Plus them knife skills. This channel deserves more views than it gets.

First time I've ever seen anyone take the time to explain how to cut a cucumber with your fingers curled under. I think most of us know to keep our fingers curled under, but here we see how the knuckles are a guide and that is like mind-blowing for me because I have never seen it demonstrated or told. Thank you so much

I've been canning pickles and they're wonderful but, the last batch was so bitter I tossed it. This helps and it'll be incorporated with each new batch. Great video thank you.

Well, I thought it used to get sour when it's stolen. Thanks for the info. Now I just need to learn how to grow it properly or find a vendor who is reasonably priced. A knife sharpening video will also be appreciated.

  • @eatahfood

Adding an acid in chows helps to preserve the ingredients. It's a form of pickling. I use vinegar sometimes because it has a neutral taste as compared to lime or lemons
