Heat one corner, lift the decal enough to get a firm grip and then peel it all off in one go...no sticky residue left over.

Thanks for the video … I too was looking to remove some ‘loud’ decals on the wheels of a new bike I’d just bought. However, I was reluctant to use the intense heat from a blow dryer or something similar on a brand new bike, but clearly heat is the key to breaking down the adhesive. I found to my pleasant surprise though that simply placing a very hot sponge (which has been soaking in boiling hot water) on the decals for about 20 to 30 seconds was enough to break down the adhesive holding the decals on. I had to wear a rubber glove in order to do it, but it quite easily allowed me to pull-back an edge of the decals - at first with a PLASTIC ruler - but it was then possible simply to peel them off with my fingers. This got all 8 of the decals off and took only about 15 minutes. There were a few traces of adhesive left after doing this, but I got all these off without much effort by rubbing them with a rag soaked in Isopropyl Alcohol. Job done!

I'm repainting a Trek FX-1 bike. The decals were very thin and had a matte stipple finish. Heat gun did not work so I used methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), with a #0000 steel wool pad. They were the large decals so it took about 15 min. per side. DO NOT USE MEK UNLESS THE BIKE IS TO BE REPAINTED. MEK will strip the finish under these circumstances. I use Goo Gone to remove any sticker adhesive residue, than clean with mild soap.

The bike is solid and my Ebike conversion went great. kzread.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Very smooth ride at 30mph with no problems (135 miles ridden so far). The picture is a bit deceiving - there is WAY less space in the center of the frame than it shows. The suspension connection takes up the entire thing. So I needed to attach my battery on the bottom of the frame and my controller on the top. Instructions for assembly were lacking but honestly it wasn't too hard to figure out even though I have very little bike knowledge. Watched some youtube videos on adjusting the disk brakes but that was it. Still, I am loving it and very happy with the purchase.
