Lol thanks a lot man really appreciate the feedback and also remember smoke smell is hard to remove anyway so if she has cloth seats, those seats need to be shampooed and the upper headliner because smoke travels up and gets stuck in the fibers of the headliner so if the ozone generator doesn’t work, the first two cycles, then shampoo everything and then run it again

Update - received my ozone generator yesterday and after one treatment, I can't smell any smoke... Best results so far. Will have to wait a few days to see if any smell creeps back, but so far works better than any spray has.

Does the operation remove odors permanently or do you have to redo it again later?

To be honest I can’t say I ever went back to check because they are customer cars but the most we had is a few times a customer called us back to do the process one more time and we haven’t heard from them since BUT I will say if you don’t get rid of the source of the smell with a deep thorough shampoo and extraction then it will continue to come back may even have to replace the carpet or upholstery in more severe cases

I had a pair of wet socks in a bag in my van while it was in the repair shop. Took me awhile to find the socks. Anyways, it still stinks bad in the van. How long do you suggest i use this machine for? I just bought it

Hey, that’s a good question I’d say just run it one cycle for about 35 minutes or so and if the smell is still around after the “chemical smell” leaves, then run another cycle

Hey d studios, just bought an Approved car from audi but there is definitely a bad smoky musky smell from the car. My clothes smell especially in areas that have had direct contact with the seats. Would this warrant an ozone treatment? Is it actually possible to remove the smell after a few treatments?

Yeah smoke smell is a little tricky because if it’s cloth seats (which I doubt there is an Audi) then you have a lot more work to do but you definitely want to shampoo and extract as much of the fabric above waste waist level, for example, if there’s fabric on the door, and the headliner definitely would need to be extracted because smoke rises and settles up top secondly you want to run the ozone generator a few cycles on an hour And then you want to change the cabin filter (you can Google where to find that or look in the owners manual because I’m sure that smells like smoke as well). Make sure you follow the directions of the ozone generator properly and of course do not be in the vehicle during the time of use it’s extremely dangerous to do so!!!! I hope this helps come back and let me know how it turns out

No I did not although you can if there is a heavy smoke smell or a heavy smell of some sort. You would at that point leave the vehicle running and cut the air on “circulation” to allow the oxidation to work through the air ducks. But no I did not have to do it again it neutralize the smell pretty good!!

will the generator clean the trunk or do i need to do a separate treatment? my battery is also in the trunk not sure if this is safe ?

Yes we’ve used it in trunks before but you definitely want to clean the odor out of the trunk first or whatever is causing the odor then run the generator

Well it all depends on the few things one if it’s cloth interior versus leather interior because cloth interior seems to absorb smell more than vinyl or leather also if in fact the vehicle was detailed first I would highly recommend cleaning it thoroughly shampooing the seats and floors also running the machine for about an hour or more and then repeating those steps if necessary

Oh god thx we had locate a vehicle to someone (sauvageau) and the dude I swear he was smelling throught the covid mask (arm pit crap odor) going in the car was a suicide

will this work on, left my raw chicken in the back of my 4Runner and some blood spilt out, kinda smells? Because it stinks like death in there. 🤢🤮

It should definitely help but remember you have to clean the area and shampoo and extract that stain thoroughly because if you don’t neutralize the source then it will just keep coming back…give it a shot and run it on as many cycles as you need until the smell is completely gone!! 🌲

What if you don’t clean the cloth seats?

Hey Vanessa, that depends, if the vehicle smells like smoke then it’s probably a good idea to shampoo the seats as well only because smoke gets trapped inside of the fabrics but unless there was a spill on the seat where the stench is coming from I would say you should be fine. I hope this helps

@@venessablair3429 Yeah just make sure no one is in the car and the windows are up and the vehicles outside when you want the machine and give it about an hour with the doors open all the windows rolled down before you go inside

No JK but that is literally one of the hardest smells to remove in my experience, but maybe shampoo and extract all the fabrics in the vehicle especially the headliner and then run the generator a few cycles. Hope this helps

@@layzy24 sure an extractor would do well as long as the headliner is still attached In pretty good shape! (Not shedding or drooping) PS DO NOT USE A DRILL BRUSH ON A HEADLINER! It will shred it

@@DetailingSolutions then why did when I asked my local car wash guy warn me to not use an extractor on my headliner as it will cause serious damage. Also asked if he could extract the leather/fabric seats and said that the extractor could potentially damage the leather becuase of how hot it gets.

But make sure you fix the issue whatever the issue is it Has to be removed and then run the ozone generator
