    I watched your videos and replaced 2005 Sentra transmission with success! I even went to the same shop in Ontario CA to pickup a used transmission. Thank you for sharing!

    Hey hope your great ! I have a 1998 sentra, I shift into reverse it works perfectly, but when I shift into any of the drives it won't go, but at times it does catches drive, and then it's perfect till I turn the car off. When I turn it back on it does the same again some time I just put it into drive and accelerate really soft and it catches drive and then it runs perfect again, thanks for your help!

    Awesome video Gilbert. I wanted to ask you how high did you jack up the Sentra? Is it over my jack only goes up 18 inches. Will I need to buy a jack that lifts higher?.

    Hi Gilbert,Can you please tell me something that has been bugging me.The radiator hoses on this 1.8L Nissan Sentra are weird. The hose coming from the Thermostat Housing goes to the bottom of the radiator???? The hot coolant coming from the engine should go to the top of the radiator to get cool down and return to the engine. But on this engine the hot coolant goes to the bottom hose

    Please, I own 2004 Nissan Sentra. The transmission over heats and stops when I drive for a while. I have to let it cool down before car starts. What is the problem?

    HAHA... You are funny! As of now, I'm still puzzled for what actually killed my trans. It was just a little accidental neutral drop! POS.

  • @iFailGames

    @iFailGames

    That's quite weird indeed. Neutral shoudn't damage much... I think. Last winter though, I got stuck in snow, and was switching between Reverse & Drive, and the car wouldn't move, and in my frustration, I decided to put the car in Park, and forgot to press the brake pedal. From Reverse into Park, no brake pedal held down, and the car made a loud screeching sound like it's dying. I thought the transmission was done. When we got the car free, the transmission was surprisingly still good...

    It is much easier to take out the motor and the transmission connected to it in one peice and then separate the transmission to replace it

    HI, How did you transport the tranmissions? I mean put it and take it out of the truck? Did you use a car engine crane?

  • @fueledbymusic3

    I put it in the truck myself. I basically picked up the trans myself. I was strong enough. but it is better to have someone help.

    @@fueledbymusic3 why did he use the hammer on the rack and pinion?

  • @jose11234567898

    @jose11234567898

    5 жыл бұрын

    btkkiller1 that was the axle, not the steering rack. He used the claw on the hammer to pry the axle out of the trans. There’s a small snap ring that holds the axles in and they need a little leverage to pop the ring out.

    Hi Gilbert, I have question. Your reply will be greatly appreciated. My Nissan Sentra 2010 ctv transmission lost power while going uphill. It only works reverse but absolutely no power in drive. Engine stalls when giving throttle but shows no sign of acceleration. What is the likely problem? Am I gonna need a new transmission?

    After doing this, I replaced it with a 6M/T Spec V transmission...didn't want to hassle with another Automatic. Found out there was a TSB for Nissan for NOT perform Transmission flushes...they did at my local dealer (South Colorado Springs) and that led to my 4A/T messing up...called Nissan, they didn't want to own up to it

    Sorry for such a late question, but may I ask how you did it? I've seen it done on miatas and other sports cars, but I have a sentra sitting in a back yard, auto trans died and I plan to make it a project car. That was my first step and I would like info if possible. Thanks if you do decide to read this

    James Acar all cars are pretty much the same way of doing the job. Remove things in the way. Then remove things attached to the trans. Likely the same
