Did it Start? Mine Won't so I'll be grabbing a Chilton's manual. They hacked up my Brother in Laws 20 year old truck. They installed it where he bought it. Never buy an after market alarm system that hacks into your wiring. Gonna be a nightmare I think. a

Hey thanks for this video! My wife’s car with a remote start has the ignition turning over then off again repeatedly. After finding the box under the wheel and disconnecting the wires from it, it was good to go.

Thanks for the video. My girlfriends car is a 99 4runner and previous owner installed one of these. Its been giving her so much issues lately. Draining battery, locking her out, leaving her stranded. Shes had the car for 4 years now but just this last month its been issues.

Z, Thank you for this video. I bought a '97 Honda Accord with an aftermarket remote start installed. I believe that the wires are JUST spiced in. Cross your fingers for me! I;m diving into the removal job tomorrow.

Glad it helped fingers and toes crossed i hate these after market alarms it just really messes with the wiring in a car

My 2003 F250 has a anti-theft device and sometimes it will not do anything when I unlock it and turn the key (i suspect it is anti-theft device?). No noise, no sounds, no clicks, no start. Just blank silence. Even silence trying to jump my truck from another truck. I think it has a loose wire (sometimes). I replaced both batteries and snugged up the power on the starter to make sure it was not loose. It still happened. I poked around under the fuse box but did not find a after market device like this. Your video gives me the confidence to poke around more.

every one will be ran different u just have to trace them

I got a 89 Honda civic hatchback with a viper alarm. I couldn't plug the battery in without the alarm going off to I cut the horn off. Now I'm stuck with a bunch of wires under my steering wheel. Should I just shove it all back up there or attempt to take the whole thing out

My wife took my car without asking me and had one of these put in hardwired to my vehicle I was pissed they told me it cannot be removed because it’s hardwired into the system I would have to buy a whole new wiring harness a few thousand dollars on Amazon

Sometimes they start the car just like that, they drain the battery and lock you out and u won’t be able to unlock the door only if u jump the car . I been having problems with mine so I’m going to get rid of it

My 02 ram 1500 had one when I bought it and it stopped working correctly and causing my truck to shut off randomly and I can’t use my ignition keys to start it

Hey man so my 07 jeep grand cherokee has an aftermarket anti theft system that's hard wired, they cut everything.. and I think it has a starter kill switch which the wires detached and it came off and now the car won't start.. any suggestions?

they probably jumped the starter wire u will have to reattach that wire

does it turn over at all ? some remote starters splice into the the wire that goes to the starter so maybe try taking power right to the starter

My car won't crank after cutting out remote start alarm....all wires are connected...everything works... Except cranking on 2009 Acura MDX. Avital alarm/ remote start

The wire that goes to the relay for your starter they cut it and go though the remote starter. You have to make sure i reconect that wire. It should be cut into and spliced or even cut in half and re rutted

I have a viper touch key immobiliser and it is SO annoying. Is it possible to uninstall aftermarket immobilisers or do you have keep them once they’re installed? I really want to get rid of this nuisance

This looks way more easier than my current problem. My dam car has a mess of wires all over the place. I don’t know what the previous owner was thinking that installed it. Smh so frustrating. I’m going to leave everything connected as it was cause i don’t want to mess anything up but dam it looks like a mess 😂

What happens if you try to take the alarm system off or cut wires while the battery is connected? Because I did that and I'm still trying to figure out to take this shit off.

well the best thing to do is pull a fuse every night try and find out where the drain is coming from than u can anorrow it down

Use a multimeter to find the draw from which fuse it is

I DID THAT BUT NOW MY CAR STARTS AND TURNS OFF AFFTER TEN MINUTES WON'T TURN BACK ON TILL LIKE 2 HOURS LATER COULD IT BE BECAUSE ONE OF THE WIRES ITS SPLIT IN HALF AND HAS A FUSE HOLDING THEM TOGETHER

yes thats could be the issue but it sounds like you did not get it all out sounds like there is a timer still in there thats is not sensing your key

hey i witnessed a 08 scion xb with aftermarket system , remote start works but when i put the key in all lights show up on dash after putting the key in there is no climate control and other systems not working. the ac works after u remote start but not after u insert the key

i think derbing will never really stop the car will get more and more technology in them but we will find a way , people thought the same thing when all the car went fuel injected and they thought the same thing when all the 70s cars started drying up, i have seen some very new cars derbyed, in the uk they have ran a 2016 bmw v10 thins year , even that mazda i had was a 2007 and i was able to move alot of wiring and it still went good . people will swap motors and find the good cars out there . people will always derby the real question is what car is be the next tough car crown vic, lumina, camrys , ???

My car keeps locking the doors automatically after starting it. I’ll start the car with the key itself and leave my car. A few seconds later it will lock my doors. You can’t get in unless you have a second key or your window is down. My card would just run and I wouldn’t have a way to get into it. I didn’t know it had Remote start for a while until I noticed the extra remote on my second key. I’m going to take it off. I’m tired of being locked out my car xD.

i am a racer myself racing a 2002 malibu i found i have a faulty ignition switch starts and drives. after removing my airbags and the dash board it will only start for 2 seconds then shuts off i need help and want this factory system GONE
