Thank you so much for such a detailed and straightforward explanation. Really very helpful because I need to take down two of my shades for rewiring them in a nearby store.

Thank you so much for this. A raising/lowering cables from one of my Hunter Douglass broke as NYC was closing down due to covid19. HD was kind enough to send me parts needed to repair but have been very skittish about doing the repair. Your video is really helpful

Great video with close up views to better identify and see the bracket tabs. The release tabs did not work as easily as the ones in the video. I had to use a flat blade screwdriver to push the tab away from the head rail. A twisting action was was used with the screwdriver after the blade was pushed between the bracket release tabs and the head rails.

Thank you!!! I wouldn't have any guess how to remove them so as I put them on the window about 7 years ago and, definitely , do not remember how thous brackets have designed. I need to remove shades and see how to fix, so as shades fell down and can not be lifted up.

Hi I have HD Applause blinds, not sure how old they are, but there are no visible screws or tabs to push I looked for a tab which may hide the screws but could not find so... Can you please tell me how to take them down? Thanks, Bob

This video does not show the same type of bracket that is mounted to my Hunter Douglas Duette blinds, but clearly a different kind of bracket. My bracket has no "release tab" like the one shown in the video - it has no release tab at all. The top of the bracket looks the same, but the back looks entirely different, and (again) has no release tab. This video does not help me. I has only confused me.

Thanks, but my HD Duette cellular blind doesn't have those type of brackets. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get them off my windows.

CRITICAL INFO- to remove push the tab back and pull out from the bottom not the top.

Thank you! But, with my Hunter Douglas Duette Honeycomb shade, I had to slide a flat head screwdriver up between the clip and the shade's head rail--voila!
