More like "How to destroy bottom bracket threads and write off a frame". Do not use power tools, just a good old spanner and elbow grease

I resorted to this method when the BB wouldn't budge. I only used the power tool to break it loose then did it by hand. As you mentioned to avoid damaging the threads.

I always use an impact driver to undo them. Saves slipping and mangling the splines.

@@LysergicCasserole95I worry about it jump out the splines also I not remember 100% directions unless got a bottom bracket outside the frame

@@beatmaster4615wrong, this is a Shimano BB, if in North America it should be clockwise to loosen on the drive side and counter clockwise on the non-drive side. Easy way to remember is that they should be turned forward to loosen.

Whole video is about this. My right cup got stuck in the frame and I went to service. Press 1 button on the power tool and the cup is removed. The efficiency of a power tool is extremely useful when the BB or cassette is stuck.

@@ianleui7007I'm not talking about special tools but an impact wrech will wear out that thread (my own experience. A breaker bar or any long rod would be much better for the thread

Drive side is left hand thread and the drive side is right hand thread. So clockwise to spin the drive side out as seen here.

Ну сперва прижать ключ, потом пневмоинструмент, и уже когда и это не помогает, тогда можно и приварить рычаг с большим плечом к каретке. Недавно взял бу вел с этой же рамой, но на год новее. Хотел переставить все навесное со своего старого, но с кареткой пздц случился. Левую чашку я снял, а старая просто намертво прикипела. В итоге покатил велосипед в сервис. Мастер попробовал своим ключом, но также ничего не вышло. И потом он вынес такой же инструмент, 1 нажатие и чашка мгновенно выкрутилась.

Nothing wrong here . The virbration would help remove stuck bb. Multiple teeth on bb tool . It’s coming out .

Definitely, he doesn't even tell you that the drive side is reverse thread on 90% of bikes. I pray for anyone using this for a DIY

@@wonton3533exactly this, came here cuz I couldn't remove mine no matter what I did and even started eating into the teeth so wanted to see if I read going anything wrong. Wouldn't know if not for comments I was just tightening it

Useless. It does not show in which direction to spin depending on the side nor what to do when it is stuck. Certainly don’t use a power tool!

This appears staged…using a 1/4 drive impact on a loose BB. BUT, it does work if you use a powerful impact gun. Even stuck bb’s will spin free without damage. Just don’t be a dumbass and know how to run the tool
