This Video shows you how to remove the wheel from a bike with disc brakes. Disc brakes on a bike are a very good safety feature, and this video shows you how to remove a bicycle wheel with disc brakes. If your bike has hydraulic disc brakes, you have to be careful not to squeeze the brake lever while the wheel is off or it will get stuck. If you have a mechanical disc brakes, it is very easy to remove the wheel from your bike with disc brakes without having any problems. If you have a bike with hydraulic disc brakes I recommend using a spacer between the brake calipers well the wheel is off. That will keep the brake pads separated If you accidentally squeeze the brake lever well the wheel is off.

I'm here because I just pressed the brakes while the road was dismantled... I thought that the only solution was to bleed it but in fact with a piece of plastic and a spatula in a few minutes the brakes are released!! Thank you so much ❤

Great video, I love your energy! How do prevent disc rub when reinstalling the wheel? Bikes with thru-axels generally don't have this problem, but bikes with quick releases give me a headache every time ... The pads tend to rub on the disc and I need to try multiple times until I get the wheel back*exactly* as it was before... Any tips, please?

I knew there was something I shouldn't do when I take off the front wheel on a bike with hydraulic disk brakes but I couldn't remember what it was. I remember now after watching this - DON'T SQUEEZE THE BRAKE LEVER!

Pretty much the same, but you have to get the chain on and off of the gears.
how do I remove a cable disc brake that *doesnt* have a skewer to loosen up, and only the nut?

Remove the nuts to remove the wheel. You don’t need to do anything special to the mechanical brakes.
