@@elitemooth8352 I mean, Clarity IS (supposedly) a collab between these two. But Porter has had his name removed as a main artist from the song (probably at his request as he was shying away from house music at the time...)

@@ninjoushinja9478 I haven't followed Zedd for several years, of the two I prefer Porter Robinson, but I still have a certain respect for Zedd (despite the "scandal" with Matthew Koma), because he created tracks like Spectrum, a spectacular song that was one of my favorites in 2012, for sure in the top three most played songs in that year, (I remember listening to it so many times that i "consumed it" lol). However I write this comment to say not to attack Zedd on things we don't know everything about, such as we don't know if it was Porter himself who didn't want his name in the title and I don't know of any public quarrels between the two. Ps I'm not talking about you of course, but other Porter fans I've read that get a little too much on this theory against Zedd. Also sorry for my English, I hope I’ve made myself clear.

@@kevwepatani9066 I think that's who he was referring to. Matthew Koma is one of the songwriters on Clarity and sang on Spectrum and Find You. They had a falling out on Twitter a few years ago

@@re.liable Matthew said Zedd was credit grabbing all the successes from Clarity, Spectrum and Find You. Basically because Zedd and his label did not put Matthew as a co-artist for the songs, but just gave him songwriting credits.

Now we have actually high quality stems of Clarity!

Clarity is one of the best EDM songs ever made

this is so cool, i love how this video encourages anyone to make music for fun in an accessible way.

Brought me back to my childhood as I'm now 19 years old. I have so many memories of my Dad playing this in his BMW full blast and Zedd was like his favorite other than deadmau5. He's been in prison since I was 10 so I don't get to create any new memories in the free world with him. Thank you for bringing me back to those times for just a moment.

That's just how iPad screen capture works. I use my iPad with OBS and it always prints the time as 9:41 AM.

It's an Apple easter egg. 9:41 is time Apple introduced the iPhone. They even planned on introducing it right at 9:41 and miraculously were able to introduce it right at 9:41. All promotional pictures for Apple products show 9:41 as the time.

I find it really hard to believe he uses only garage band to make those songs. I understand that Apple wants people to use their apps. But this isn’t the way to do it. It’s just using his face and likeness to promote their brand. He didn’t create and mix this with garage band. I guess he took the stems and put it in GarageBand but it just won’t sound the same exported. I like Zedd and Apple but this is just weird.

I hacked this song to the exact way how Clarity sounds like, believe it or not. You also tried is too. Just pay attention to bars as they reach.

I tried it but months later, it is gone. And so is SEVENTEEN and Katy Perry. I checked on sound library.

It looks easy in this video cuz this is very simplified and aimed at beginners. They don’t mention sound design, writing melodies/chords, mixing, mastering or any of that. There are producers who mostly just drag and drop pre-made loops into the project and call it a day, but most producers (from what I’ve seen) prefer writing their own melodies.

Yeah, it’s easy if you’re a master of the craft and you know what you’re doing - using computers is just having access to tonnes of instruments at your fingers tips. That’s it. It requires just as much talent and skill as making music in an analog way, it’s just a different set of tools. Knowing how to make music isn’t the same as making really great music. That can happen in all sorts of ways. With computers. Without them. But there is no one right way. Telling someone that the old way of making music is better is not a great way to encourage the artists of the future. Let people create using any means they can. Something like GarageBand is great because it is free - instruments are really expensive to buy, and having access to lots of them isn’t easy. Lots of people comparatively have access to phones and computers (and by extension, to a DAW like GarageBand.) Saying you miss the normal way of making music shows that there’s a lot more for you to learn about how music is made. Start looking into/learning music production, mixing/mastering and songwriting and you’ll begin to see just how difficult all of this really is. Masters of their crafts can make anything look easy.
