Yeah, it really is. I don’t do this level of promotion for every single, but if I’m going to invest funds to produce a quality recording, I might as well do some legwork up front to set my promotion on autopilot as much as possible. So, I try to record as much of my marketing material during the production window and schedule most things out in advance in order to try and keep with some semblance of consistently. When I wait until the release and am trying to come up with content or a plan from week to week, that’s usually when I see myself lose steam. Great comment though. It really is a lot if one chooses the content marketing strategy. Thanks for stopping by the channel 👍🏽

This Plan seems sooooo good. I would want to replicate it but to be honest, i don't have the attention span to keep promoting a song longer than 7-10 days. For context, i make my own music, the beat, the writing, the recording, mixing and mastering. So needless to say, i easily churn out on average 7-10 songs a week. If i released a song ONLY every 21 days, i'd be an old Man before all my songs get released. I wish someone would make a 7-10 day release plan.

Hey 👋🏾 Thanks so much for the comment. I totally feel you. Today, Indie Artists likely have to take on the role of marketer, salesperson, graphic designer, editor, publicists, etc. Its definitely a lot. I would say that I don’t push every single I release with the same amount of content. While I would love to think everything I produce is on equal footing, there are certainly some projects I feel more compelled to put the full weight of my effort behind to promote. Still it’s a lot and the only way it’s close to possible for me is by scheduling in advance. For instance, my next single will release 24 February, but I’ve already recorded and edited the bulk of the content and just scheduled to release at the appropriate time horizons. Otherwise, I’d be chasing the day and it’s too much to also react to any engagement one might receive from their audience. I like your suggestion on a “If I only had 10 days promote…” approach. I’ll look into shooting a video along those lines that highlights some of the “best practices if time is a hot commodity.” That’s great that you are talented to be able to go from idea to distribution all in house.
