It is definitely more rigid than the traditional x pattern.

BEST WAY to ruin a GOOD catcher's mitt. LEAVE THE "X" style pattern! Leather ALWAYS starts to rip and tear @ the split pocket!!! NICE JOB! I DO THIS TO ALL MY RE-LACES as well as the HS catcher's mitts! I swear they lace it like that SO THEY WEAR OUT QUICKER!

The vertical bars are more rigid then the traditional x’s.

Just figured how to do a 3 bar to an X and it actually be double!! Or if have X (4holes) then able to do a triple X thats doubled!!

Yea...just do like Wilson does there double on I-web and end up with triple X with 4 hole or back to double X if it was the 3 bars to begin with!

I have a question.How do you tighten the bar lacing part of the glove? I’m not sure which string to pull or anything. ( I have a Rawlings mitt btw)

It will be the same as where the laces enter on this glove. Should be a knot to the right side of the web.

As your opinion bar style or double X is better ?

I prefer the bar over the double x. I prefer the look when relaced properly. Just not a fan of double x on catchers mitts.
