I’m not really a refresh person normally 😅 I just let it go limp and transition from braiding the front and top, to a full French braid, to a cute messy bun, to a horrible tangled rats nest. Here and there I will refresh with a spray bottle and mousse or gel, but I worry that my hair will look greasy if I wet it but don’t wash. I commented the other day but I just found your channel and have been binging it! You are the first curly-wavy girl on YT I’ve found that has my exact hair and I love to have found my hair twin!

How cool! Hi hair twin! 👋🏻 😊 I WISH I could French braid my own hair, and I love normal braids but they don’t really work for me right now with this heavily layered haircut haha but I’m right there with you- I almost never refresh 😅

I like the way you used the bowl for your refresh. I've damp refreshed before but I've never wanted to get my hair soaking wet because it takes too long for the roots to try. The bowl may present a good solution. Thanks for demonstrating this method!

Your hair looks beautiful! I am going to try this bowl refresh method tomorrow and will definitely be making your flax seed gel. Also, please don't feel like you need to explain when you do your videos. Of course, family should come first. They are always so helpful and no matter when you post, I'll be watching!

Watching you detangle was so satisfying. The wide tooth comb is a great idea. Your hair looked beautiful especially for day 2. My little boy likes to play with my hair, so I usually have to do a wet refresh similar to this if I want to get more than one or two days out of my wash day.

Ummmmmm for day 4 hair, it looks amazing!!! Just gorgeous! On day 3 or 4, my hair is going up! Lol. I refresh for day 2 (work days), or if I'm going out. I have to wash on my days off, 2×/week, and plan it because I have such low porosity, thin hair, it takes 8-12+ hrs to dry, and diffusing takes so long, and takes all the energy out of me. So nope! Haha. Thanks for this video! 😊

@@JordanFaith thanks for getting back to me! I'll have to look into it. I totally get that though. I went through a phase a few years ago where I wanted to try all the lip colors 😂 and now I am a drawer full of lipstick, glosses and all those things that I barely use.

Great video! I tried it and it came out pretty good! I need to perfect my technique a bit but it looks way better than it normally does on day 5 and it also feels cleaner & gentler than doing a full wash. I didn’t love the flax seed gel when I made it before but you have inspired me to give it another try!

I’m new to the curly girl world. Your channel is new to me too. I have watched a few of your videos so far and they have been helpful. I like your product reviews. Your drugstore product review was helpful and helped me realized the Kinky Curly curling custard wasn’t what I thought it was. Have you tried Dippity Do Girls with Curls Gelee? That’s another product I haven’t tried but was wondering about. Thanks!

Instead of a bowl, I just use a plant mister to wet my hair. Easier, and I don't have to hurt my back bending over all the time. Great for refreshing, or plumping out flattened hair in the morning.
