You didn't even have the truck up to operating temperatures like you said...The thermostat didn't even open yet ! So how can you have a lower temp?

I call bullshit. My SBC nova in az right now in August when it's still 105degrees out at 8pm does not get a single degree cooler with straight water and 2 bottles of this stuff. Coolant gets up to 210 and stays pegged there. Before and after. Block Temps of 160. Guess this stuff only works in a ac cooled garage with the hood open and multiple fans pointed at it. Do not spend your money on this stuff. In the summer az weather when this stuff should really matter it doesn't cut it at all. No difference

AZ local here as well. Thanks for your comment. I was looking for ideas to help my truck in our summer heat. I'll save my money and skip this product

It be nice to see what 2 similar size bottles of antifreeze would do. I have a 58 chevy impala and can't keep it cool during 100 degree here in Northern California. I'm thinking of adding a second fan I'm the front but some say yes while others say no. Any idea what would work. Thanks

If you don't have a shroud on it then you should add one and get a fan with more blades on it. Some of the older cars only have four blades on them which don't move much air. Five or even six blades will move significantly more air. Make sure your radiator is not clogged inside and outside (sometimes the outside can be full of dead bugs, dirt, and crud so the airflow through it is minimal, even though it may be clean inside.) There are also high-performance water pumps that move much more water but I don't know if they make them for your car.

Add a shroud and dual electric fans. That's how my dad keeps his 572 big block (with a mildly aggressive cam) cool in 100 degree humidity in south florida. Exhaust heat wraps will also help keep the engine bay a little cooler.

@thickdaddymukbang I put high temperature coating and then wrapped them, because I didn't know weather to use coating or Wrap. I was the smart one that said I would do both🤣🤣. That was a horrible Idea and the first drive my Wrap caught on fire due to putting on too much coating. I let it dry by it probably not long enough. Yes I'm Stupid🤣🤣

so it compares water? Wasn't it suppose to compare to other coolants on the market?

water cools better than coolant. coolant just keeps shit from freezing. I use distilled water in the summers

You can reduce temperatures by running external heaters or by using custom ducting to throw the heat from your hot Ac outside

thjsi si just bullshit I prepare engines for competition. 1st- If you want a big cool performace, you have to use only water... 2nd- Whats your engine temeprature need????????????????you have to know it

Pure water is best + "water wetter". After competition switch back to anti-freeze mixture to help prevent corrosion.

Johnny B The impurities in tap/hose water causes corrosion in your cooling system. Plus there is a huge difference in boiling tap water and distilled. Without the impurities in distilled when you microwave a mug of distilled water it becomes super heated, then when you drop your spoon in it will explode.

Total BS. I've tried it and it did nothing. Also what vehicle has a normal operating temp of 121? None that I know of. And whay did you let it cool off a bit before adding the RP? At 135 degrees its nopt like its going to boil over. Again I'm calling bull shit.

They were measuring a spot on the oil pan, it appeared, not to water temp in the cooling system. Why? Why not just use the existing temp gauge or add a good mechanical one for the test. It should work as good as water wetter which helps some. My experience was 10-15 degrees cooler on an all iron 12.3:1 big block Chevy with a stock size aluminum radiator in a 68 Camaro drag car.

dont use coolant on the track. use water. if you wreck or dump coolant theres virtually no clean up. coolant is slippery

Yes, so basically, add a fan to the front of radiator? I have a 87. Elco with a 454 and been having a over heating problem for a while now .I had 160 thermostat and it didn't help so I was just told to put 195 thermostat and at least 2600-4k cfm fans

  • @davidkeeton6716

@lltinyraggtime2459 It doesn't make sense to me to hold the water in the block until it is 195° when you prefer the motor to run at 180°. Why not give the cooling system a head start by only holding it to 160° and then let it go into a good radiator with a good fan or fans. I say go as big as you can fit and afford with both. If it's overkill, the fans won't turn on, and the engine thermostat will control the engine temperature. What do you think happens on a 40° day or below? The fans don't come on and the thermostat controls engine temperature. Maybe swap to a 180° in winter.

This is garbage your test show nothing run the engine ten minutes and the temperature will be the same.

Another gimmick Not even using the correct term Anti freeze water They talk about this purple water like it’s some miracle If you have a substance that transfers heat slightly better with water/antifreeze that’s worth knowing about but this tells me it’s just a money grab Regardless using the antifreeze specifically designed for your vehicle is the go-to option. This purple BS will probably cause more harm than good in some fluctuating climates, if it actually works.

Typical powernation test. Not real world. Take it outside in the heat of the day and drive it. Back roads, traffic, highway, up and down hills. A short dyno pull shows nothing. Your lazer temp gun pointed at who knows what proves nothing. Put in a known good mechanical temp gauge for the before and after tests. Come guys, your pockets are bottomless compared to us out here.
