Heya, northern neighbor. Thanks for your helpful information. I changed from capturing display to window capture because I didn't like seeing all of those layers on my monitor when I'm trying to work with OBS Studio. In the process I could no longer see my webcam. Your explanation of setting up helped me find my issue and become comfortable with hiding my OBS screen while recording.

I've been wading through dozens of OBS tutorial videos just to find basic screencast instruction, yours has been the best by far. Quick, straight forward and to the point. Liked and subscribed. Thanks from London!

If you have tried Screencastify, let me know if OBS is better. I find Screencastify simple to use but I am now looking for a screen casting app/software for videos that are not for teaching.

Thanks! This video came in clutch. I do have one suggestion for screen recording though - I think it would be helpful to use the zoom in/out feature rather than full screen when clicking on items with small text (1:29, 2:30, etc)
