    Thank you again. For a sentimental moment, you have created legacy for those that follow. There are less than a dozen who have a wide scope and have stuck it out past a dozen videos, and you are one of them. Thank you.

    He's a witch!!! Thank you. You just saved my recording partner $1000 on an external board for fader rides and automation. I told him we could do it in the box. Now I have to translate all this PT knowledge to Reaper for another project. PS - got the rough mixes from the band we are mixing and there were 17,023 automation points from the band member using the mix window fader to adjust volume!

    I had to plug into my live console to record today because I needed the 20db pads. It saved me a ton of time miking the guitar amp, because I could play with the basic eq it had, and will hopefully save me time in the mix. And the older, analog sound was perfect for what I wanted.

    Dude! Thank you! Working on the automation with the line "Prayers" I've always wondered how you can take a vocal track and add extra reverb or delay on a certain section/moment. Previously I thought you had to duplicate that section and just make it work. To me this is the in depth Pro Tools mixing I want/like! I've watched many hours of you on KZread. This is definitely an "ah ha!" moment. Can't wait to try this out! Everyone shows the basics, but it's the more intricate things like this that I love to see! Basics are easy (in there own right), but loved that tip. My mind is exploding with ideas now.. :-) :-) Thanks :-)

    Great video as always! I wish you would have touched on some of the other "shapes" you can draw (sine, random,...) with the pencil tool, which might speed things up for many people, but I understand this is a video on basic automation and it's hard to go in depth without confusing some. Please keep those videos coming, I've come to anticipate them even more than Pensado's Place! All the best!

I've got some question: I've subscribed to your email list on your site and youtube channel about a month ago, but where can I find all great "extra" stuff ("secret" vimeo account with extended versions of drum/piano recording videos, files for drum editing, drum samples, etc)? All I receive via mail from "producelikeapro" are notifications about new video, on the site itself there are just subscription form, social media, and list of videos.. Please can you help me with that? Many Thanks, Phil. PS - I've noticed pictures on your studio walls - are you a fan of airplanes?

    Hi Warren, I'm kinda getting started in producing again. I'm starting using pre recorded sounds and instruments, nothing live yet. Besides Pro Tools, what other DAWs would you recommend? Is any of the following good and which is best, or do you know of a better one than these? (Garageband, Logic, Reason, Fruit Loops)

  • @Producelikeapro

    @Producelikeapro

    Hi John Gabriel Figueroa I use Logic for Keys and Programming, it's great, the sounds come up ready to use! I use Garageband for quick easy demos on my lap top, really easy to use as well and I use Pro Tools for recording Vocals, Guitars, Drums etc, editing Audio and Mixing. I haven't used Reason for few years, a lot of the guys I work with love Ableton for building tracks and there are a lot of users who love Studio One, which I hear is amazing value for money! I hope that helps! Have a marvellous time recording, many thanks Warren
