    Direct nadat ik dit had gezien, ontmoette ik een vrouw uit Eindhoven, hier in de staat New York. Ik herkende dat ze Nederlands was op het moment dat ze iets zei. Het was zo grappig omdat ze me vertelde waar ze woonde en me aan veel plaatsnamen herinnerde en ik haar kon vertellen waar ze de Nederlandse historische plaatsen langs de Hudson kon bezoeken.

    Peanut sauce with fries 😂😂😂 Yeah, the culture shock ❤ But heh, most of dutch people make the effort to speak english to buitlanders, it is nice from them!

    Een leuke video, patat met pindasaus heb ik nu wel trek in. Ik durf echt niet te zeggen hoe ik Britten in het buitenland herken.... beer for breakfast misschien. 🤣

    Ik herken altijd andere Duitse in het buitenland, maar ik weet niet precies hoe ik ze herken. Het is gewoon een gevoel en als ik ze dann kan horen praten, zijn het ook vaak mensen die Duits praten. Ik denk dat men gewoon een vertrouwd gevoel heeft, als men mensen uit de eigen land ziet.

    Ik ben niet eens met jullie. Ik zie ergens Italianen. Het is normaal dat Nederlanders zien andere Nederlanders en elke Europeanen zijn luid. Ik vind dit heel irritant in Italianen, maar minder irritant door nederlanders. Ik weet niet waarom. 😆 I’m sure what I wrote is full of mistakes and I couldn’t think how to put the first sentence less rude, but of course I’m not screaming “you are wrong and I’m right!”, it’s more a curiosity that I find how it is easier to people from the same country to see their own country people. 😁

    What you wrote is completely understandable. It does have a couple minor mistakes though. " Ik ben *het* niet eens met jullie. Ik zie ergens Italianen. Ik weet niet waarom. 😆 " For the "elke Europeanen zijn luid" part, you could also change 'elke' to 'alle'. It works the same way in English. 'Elke' (Each), 'Alle' (All). Each European is, All Europeans are

    ik herken ze vanwege de taal die ze spreken. ze praten luid omdat ze denken dat niemand ze verstaat!

    Here are a few words that could probably be directly translated in my opnion thema's= themes lengte= length natuurlijk= naturally toch= talk denk= think vaak= frequent vind= find qua= quote ligt= lies staat= stand stays state nou= now bent= been weet= wit vakantie= vacation wandelaars= wanderers waar= where trekt= trek altijd= all the time omdat= on that naar= near toch, americans sometime use the french word touche, most americans know it

    Tegenkomen is a separable verb meaning to come across. The separated particle often comes at the end of the sentence.
