This video is very helpful. I have an Engine warning light in amber that has just popped up in my E300 convertible. Car seems fine and I haven’t noticed anything different. How should I proceed? The video said it’s just an advisory. Not sure what that means.

Thanks for your comment! Due to the engine warning light being amber, it means that it isn't dangerous to drive the vehicle. However, we would advise that you book in with our service teams to get the vehicle diagnosed.

Hi Pete. Often the lights do not give away specifics, but for any red warning lights, we recommend that you get booked in with your nearest service centre as soon as possible. If you are local to us in Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth or Truro, you can call our bookings team on 01392 822700. Alternatively, if the car is not starting, please use your button in the head unit to speak to the Mobilo Breakdown team 🙂

I have an amber engine light warning on my Mercedes a180 and there is a delay between accelerating and the gears kicking in all of a sudden. Any idea what is the most likely issue I am facing? I will be taking it in asap ofc. Great video btw. Thanks 👍

Thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear you have a warning light on your A180. An engine warning light could relate to a number of things, so this is a difficult one to diagnose without a technician looking at it in more detail. At least as it's amber, it isn't urgent. Thank you for your comment. We are aware of similar occasions where this has happened with the MBUX display, and a simple software update fixed the issue. We are not aware of this occurring on an A160 but would recommend speaking to your nearest Service teams. My 2023 gla dash screen has 2 vehicles with exclamation point in the middle. Nobody can tell me what it means. I’ve called service and online chat.

It’s to do with your break assist when you are to close to another vehicle or over taking it warns you with that annoying beeping sound. I turned mine off in settings
