i've read that if disconnected madd is 4 then connected madd is 4 as well and if disconnected madd is 5 then connected madd should be 5 as well

Disconnected madd is weaker than connected madd, so it has to be same as or shorter than connected . So you can do 4 disconnected and 4 connected, or 5 and 5 or 4 and 5. You can also do 2 and 4 and 2 and 5. But Not 5 disconnected and 4 connected.
