You also forgot to mention that the reason we kept increasing the laws was because of prostitution and sexual liberation which put young women in danger of being kidnapped and used for pleasure and nothing else, like described in the article "The Maiden Tribute of Babylon.".

Marry at age 12 married Joseph who was 90 and Issac married rebbeca age 3 And Aisha age is disputed from 9-14/17 to 27 Marry De Robigne Mortimer Bennett says that the book ‘History of Joseph the Carpenter,’ was believed and genuine by Early Evangelical Church. Not just that, he also mentions when Joseph married Mary, she was 12 years old and he was 90 years old. At the end of his statement on ‘History of Joseph the Carpenter,’ he states, “These statements should undoubtedly be taken with many grains of allowance.” Here, he himself agrees that the statements where it mentions that Joseph was 90-year-old when he married 12 Mary is true, and should be accepted. Bernard L. Fontana also mentions that Mary was 12 years old and Joseph 90 years old when married: “Thanks to the apocrypha writings, which inspired many artists over the ages, the popular belief became widespread that Joseph had first married when he was forty years old and fathered six children by his wife before she died when he was eighty-nine years old. The youngest of his child was said to be James the Less, ‘Christ’s brother.’ This tradition holds that Joseph was ninety years old when he went to Jerusalem to join other candidates seeking the hand of the twelve- to fourteen year old Mary in Marriage.” [9] 4. Early Church Fathers Believed Joseph was 80 to 90 years old when he married 12-year-old Mary The very advanced age of Joseph, marrying Mary, was true and accepted by most early Church Fathers. Reverend Jeremiah Jones writes about 2 to 3 pages long that Infancy Protevangelion of James was accepted by Early Church Fathers as truthful account of Mary and Joseph’s marriage. If one reads the Infancy Gospel of James (Protevangelion of James), in Chapter 8 it says that Mary was married to Joseph when she was 12 years old. “…His eldest son was James, surnamed Oblias-that he begat him when he was about forty years old: after him he had another son named Jose, then Simeon and Judas, and then his two daughters Mary and Salome: after his wife’s death he continued many years a widower, and about fourscore years old married Mary. Besides Epiphanius, several other of the Greek fathers have given into this same opinion, viz. Hilary, Chrysostome, Cyrill, Euthyymius, Theophylact, Cecumenius, and generally, as bishop Peaterson says: ‘all Latin fathers till Ambrose, and the Greeks afterward; from which it is very evident that the account of Joseph’s age and family, which is in the Gospel of the Birth Mary, and the Protevangelion of James, met with very general credit among ancient Christians.” [10] Jeremiah Jones continues: “I might, add here, that the learned annalist cardinal Baronius, in his surprising apologies for the Virgin Mary, (…) cites many of the fathers as giving credit to its accounts, and particularly as to that of her being brought at three years of age to the temple, and devoted to its service, (Evang. Mar. c. 4. 6. Protevang. Jacob. C. 7.) and that she continued there eleven years. He says it is testified by Euodius, Gregory Nyssene, Damascene, Germanus bishop of Constantinople, Andreas Cretensis, George Bishop of Nicomedia, and others. See Apparat. Ad Annal. No. 48. And Casaubon’s reflections upon this Exercit. 1. Contr. Baron. Ad eund. Numer.” [10] Charles Burlingame Waite, was a United States lawyer and a jurist, he also cites Epiphanies that Joseph was 80 years old when he married Mary, “Joseph was very old when he married Mary, and had been many years a widower; that he was the brother of Clophas, the son of James, surnamed Panther; that he had his first wife of the tribe of Judah, and by her six children, to wit, four sons and two daughters. His eldest son was James, surnamed Oblias, (this probably taken from Eusebius, Ecc, Hist. 2. 23), that he begat him when he was about forty years old; after him he had another son named Jose, then Simeon and Judas, and then his two daughters Mary and Salome: after his wife’s death, he continued many years a widower, and about fourscore years old, married Mary.”- Epiph. Haeres. 78, see. 8. [11] As we have read, most early church fathers believed Mary was married off when she was 12 years old and Joseph the carpenter was a very old man. Here is the list of fathers who believed that Joseph was fourscore years old when he married 12-year-old Mary: 1. Epiphanius (310 - 403AD) 2. Hilary (Hilarius) of Poitiers (300 - 368AD) 3. John Chrysostom (Born between 344 and 349 - Died 407 AD) 4. Cyril of Alexandria (376 - 444 AD) 5. Saint Euthymius the Great (377 - 473 AD) 6. Theophylact of Ohrid (also known as Theophylact of Bulgaria) (1055 - 1107 AD) 7. Cecumenius 8. Eusebius (263 - 339 AD) 1. Sarah gave birth to Isaac at the age of ninety (Genesis 17). 2. Isaac was in his thirties when the incident of Mount Moriah occurred with his father, Abraham (Genesis 22). 3. Immediately after Isaac and Abraham’s incident on Mount Moriah, Rebecca is born (Genesis 22). 4. As soon as Rebecca’s birth is mentioned in Genesis 22, few verses down (next chapter), we read that Sarah died at the age of 127 years old (Genesis 23:1-3). 5. At the time of Sarah’s death, Isaac would be have been 37-years-old. 6. Isaac married Rebecca at the age of 40 (Genesis 25:20), this would show from the Bible that Rebecca was only three years old, given that she was only born three years prior, just after the Mount Moriah incident and the death of Sarah.

If an 18-year-old man comes to you and says he’s getting married, you’d question his decision-making skills. You’d think he’s getting married too early. Similarly, if an 18-year-old woman tells you that she’s getting married, you’d ask her to do a “reality check” and may be even discourage her by telling her she’s too young, and she should go to college or build a career. Even though 18 is the legal age most countries, no one really believes that an 18-year-old is ready for marriage! Should it be same for girls and boys? Or, should girls have a different minimum age than boys? Should the fact that girls mature earlier than boys be takin into account? Does "one size fits all" really work for determining a minimum age? In pre-modern cultures, girls would look forward to getting married and start a family. They did not see it as we see it today. They saw marriage as a benefit, not a burden like we do. That was the norm for them. And this was true in all religions, cultures, and regions of the world. The minimum age for marriage has been increasing worldwide. In all pre-modern traditional cultures, it wasn’t unusual for girls to consummate marriages between the ages of 10 and 12 and that was considered normal back then, but not today. In most modern societies, girls are highly discouraged from getting married, even at 18. Early marriage is considered bad. They’re told that education and careers are far more important and beneficial for a young woman than marriage and having children. Today, we’ve been indoctrinated into believing that it's always better for a woman to have a career and work than to have children and raise them. Women are taught to delay marriage for career. How has this impacted women, men, children and the society at large? The result is that most Western nations are in decline-population is imploding. Marriage is ruined. People are having fewer and fewer children than the previous generations. Corporations and business do not like early marriage because it’s bad for the economy. Women entering the workforce helps increase the supply of labor which in turns lowers wages. Business and corporations benefit when there are more women in the workforce. Women who work consume more and spend more. So, it’s good for business to have working women. We’re even told that it’s possible and perfectly normal for a woman to have both a career and raise children at the same time. While this may work for some, it doesn’t work for all women. Many women get burnt out trying to juggle jobs and raising kids. It's such a huge responsibility. We expect women to work like they have no kids. We expect women to have kids like they don't have a job. All this has put unrealistic demands on women. Stress, depression, and disintegration of the family. That statistics are there. It is unfair to women. Women have been tricked into believing that having a career and family are the norm. Modernity and liberalism have changed everything. Today we find early marriage shocking, but the pre-modern people lived in a very different time period. They didn’t go to schools or colleges. Liberalism has brainwashed us into rejecting early marriage. Girls are denied the freedom to marry early. Yet, girls are told they can sleep with anyone they want, have sex with anyone, “discover”, and even change their gender any time without parental consent! Liberalism is stupid, dangerous, and destructive. It’s ruining lives, families, communities, and societies. Use this link to share: tinyurl.com/EarlyMarriageTruth

For one, the Hadiths say Muhammad married Aisha at Six, she got sick, and once she was better, cons-mmated the Marriage at n-ne. Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death). (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64; see also Numbers 65 and 88) Narrated Hisham's father: Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236) Aisha said: The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) married me when I was seven years old. The narrator Sulaiman said: Or six years. He had intercourse with me when I was nine years old. (Sunan Abu Dawud, Number 2116) Next Ashia, had not reached puberty by the age of nine. She was also still a little girl playing with toys: 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) married her when she was seven years old, and he was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old. (Sahih Muslim, Book 008, Number 3311) Sahih al-Bukhari 6130 Narrated `Aisha: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet, and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for `Aisha at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fath-ul-Bari page 143, Vol.13) Narrated Aisha: The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 58, Number 234) The swing was also not allowed until p-berty. Plus, there is no historical evidence Arab women back then matured faster. Actually, they matured slower due to malnutrition. Aisha didn’t reach p-berry until like 15. And she didn’t have any children, probably due to having s- too young. Precocious puberty also doesn’t mean a g-rl is ready. It is harmful in the younger years. Furthermore, here is what the Quran says: Quran 33:49 O You who have believed, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, then there is not for you any waiting period to count concerning them. Quran 65:4 As for your women past the age of menstruation, in case you do not know, their waiting period is three months, and those who have not menstruated as well. As for those who are pregnant, their waiting period ends with delivery.1 And whoever is mindful of Allah, He will make their matters easy for them So no s3- = no Iddah. There is an Iddah in the second Surah for: 1. Women too old to menstr-te 2. Girls to yo-ng to menst-te (those who have not menstr-ted) 3. Pregnant women Therefore, a Muslim man, according to Quran, can Marry, have s with and divorce, so others then Marry, a pre-pubesc-nt girl. As for why his enemies did not say anything, this might have been a common practice in Arabia, that doesn’t make it right. Think about what they did to female infants, for example. True Religion must rise above the morals of the time. Also, for those saying this is because Aisha became a great scholar, then why command this through an evil means; why not wait? Also, you can’t appeal to culture or relative morality, since Islam is supposed to be final revelation, for all cultures and times, and Muslims believe in Objective Morality. One cannot say this isn’t wrong, as God’s Law is Written on the heart of every man. And let me tell you, we know deep down that this is wr-ng and logically know it is. Now, I can understand different cultures. I can understand in a different time and place, teens might Marry, or something. But having s with a child is unheard of and clearly immoral compared to this. You can argue morally, because if something is immoral, from God, and we can know morality, and God is supposed to be Perfectly Good, then God shouldn’t Teach evil. Muhammad is also supposed to be the example in conduct for all Muslims and mankind, according to the Quran. Also, the Rebbekah is three argument doesn’t work. It assumes that when Abraham found out about Rebekah’s birth, this is when she was born. This doesn’t work, because without modern phones, information traveled slowly. This is also the time Abraham learned about her father’s birth, meaning they would have had to been born at the same time, according to the logic of that argument! Doesn’t work. It could have been many years since then, we don’t know. Rebbekah was called a “young woman” in Hebrew, and carried enough jugs of water to feed a man and all of his camels. As for Mary, no verses in the Bible mention Mary’s age. Jewish women normally got Married around the late teens, I think (unsure). The Tradition is also quiet on this, except for later apocryphal works, which aren’t trustworthy. The Tradition also holds Mary to be a Perpetual Virgin, and Jesus’s Birth as without Pangs and like Light Through Glass. Now, the Canonical Age of Marriage in Meideval Europe was 7, mainly for political alliances (once could probably get an annulment, in this case), but the age for cons-mmation was 13, if there were clear signs of maturity. Way better than 9, the te-n years. And even then, this was a matter of discipline, it seems, not doctrine. And with later science, it becomes different. But we see with Islam, a matter of revelation, says that it’s okay to have rel-ti-ns with a little g-, which is dam-ging. Does anyone have a response???

Think about this: if it was taboo in the prophets pbuh time, then how come his biggest enemies never said anything negative towards his marriage to Aisha ra? Parents have to approve their daughter to be married, so why did Abu Bakr not disagree if it was so bad? How come no critic of Islam before the modern era ever brought this issue up? These people have no other criticism to attack the character of Rasulullah pbuh except the marriage age and the verses about killing, and both of those things have been explained a million times. He spent 39 years of his life being the most honest man, the most trustworthy and all of a sudden because he received revelation he will become a degenerate? Come on, be for real.

It's really the best answer I have heard. There is nothing to justify, our morals and values come from the Quran. While there is some truth to societal norms across time & space, and you would most likely not marry a 6yo today, saying that it was wrong in the past is completely out of touch with the norms of the times. Asma the elder sister of Aisha, was ten years older than Aisha. It is reported in Taqreeb al-Tehzeeb as well as in Ibn Kathir s Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah that Asma died in the 73rd year after migration of Muhammad when she was 100 years old. Now, obviously if Asma was 100 years old in the 73rd year after Migration to Medina, she should have been 27 or 28 years old at the time of migration. If Asma was 27 or 28 years old at the time of hijrah, Aisha should have been 17 or 18 years old at that time. Thus, if Aisha got married in year 1 AH or 2 AH (after Migration to Medina), she must have been between 18 to 20 years old at the time of her marriage.

If we use todays standard for the past especially with life expectancy then by that standard every human in history should have hoped they were born into the modern world I guess. Because they would have died out. What the Quran and by Muhammad standard is to marry someone who is a woman. If at that point by the average Aisha almost lived a third of the naturally expected life, what exactly is wrong with her getting married at that time? Today however they would have lived 10-15 percent of their life. Completely different standard.
