When you flush the salt water out do you back flush the filter or forward flush it

Either will work! Basically you just want the water to dissolve/flush out the salt from the unit.

What’s the best way to determine its time to do this procedure and recharge?

Good question, Todd. I did not go into this enough during the video. The best way to determine that it is time to recharge the softener is by using Water Hardness Test Strips to measure the amount of total hardness in the water. If the test strip reads over 50 ppm total hardness, then you will want to recharge the softener. After continued use, you will begin to develop a feel for when it is time to recharge. Hope this helps!

I want to buy from u guys however the reviews of it leaking scares me away. What are your thoughts on the leaking?

Hi Phillip! Thank you for your interest in our systems. We did have a round of water filters with a high return rate due to leaks; however, have since changed the fittings we use in order to prevent this. Since the switch, we have had virtually no complaints of leaking systems... so I think we have them dialed! However that faulty fitting was only on the our Water Filtration Systems, not the softeners. If you are referring to the reviews on Amazon about Leaks, those reviews are FAKE. There are competitors on amazon using black hat tactics to try and hurt our listing. We introduced a better product at a better price, and as you might imagine, that started shifting away business from the "other" sellers. They didn't take kindly to that. You can simply click on the name of the reviewer, and you will see they have NO other history of reviews on the platform. An OBVIOUS sign that they aren't really customers, folks just paid to come in and leave hurtful bad reviews.
